Here's the one I chose:

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I know that woodchucks are also called groundhogs, so this card is going to a friend who says his favorite holiday is Groundhog's Day!!  (He's weird, but very sweet!)

It's a good thing no one told me in advance what these boys were planning!  I'm afraid of heights, so Tommy didn't his risk taking from me.  They had such a good time they'll be doing it again.  YUCK!!

CCEE1817 Poem

As her last challenge, Lois tells us that April is National Poetry Month, and today is Poem in Your Pocket Day.  She asks us to create a card using a poem as inspiration.

The poem I have chosen is "High Flight" by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence.  Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace,
Where never lark, or even eagle, flew;
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

This has always been one of my favorite poems.  I hope you think my card represents a bit of the fabulous words of this WWII flying Ace.

CCEE1815 National Pet Day

Lois tells us that yesterday, April 11th was National Pet Day.  Her challenge is to Use a pet (dog, cat, canary - whatever) on our cards.

You may think this frog is a bit of a stretch as a pet, but as the mother of two boys, believe me, it's not.  We always had animals in our house when the boys were at home..........snakes, frogs, a praying mantis (Charlie), mice, caterpillars, whatever could come home in a pocket or hands.

Thanks for looking.  Please join us nexy week for another fun challenge.
