CCEE1613 Vintage Paris

According to the Days of the Year web site, today is Eiffel Tower Day.  So for our challenge this week, let's celebrate all things Parisian...It could be the Eiffel tower, French poodles, Berets, Champagne, RED/white/blue color combo.  You get the idea!

I made a vintage card.  Here's what I used:
Small Circle Burst (Memory Box)
French stamps and Cancellation
Eiffel Towel with postmark over
Key image with bow on top
Merci (Stampin' Up) in corner

From Sandy and Laura for Easter!

What a nice surprise!  This morning my friends Sandy and Laura gave me flowers for Easter!  Here they are:

Aren't they the most beautiful hydrangeas you've ever seen???

I had to make them thank-you cards immediately, and since these pink hydrangeas were so gorgeous, that determined the theme of the card:

I used the tole technique (cut out layers and popped), and the card will please them, I know.  What nice friends they are !!  Thanks, Sandy and Laura!

Corner Fold Card for Mom

I just had to share a card I made for my mother for Easter.  It's called a Corner Fold,
and it's just the cutest thing.  Here are the pictures so you can see all the parts:

This is the way it looks as it comes out of the envelope.

Here is the inside, left and right as it opens up.

This is the base that folds up as it closes, and down as it opens.

The reason it says "hoppy eggster" is because our oldest son, David, has called it that for years.

I used lots of die cuts (bunnies, chicks, clouds, sun, eggs, banner, letters), and painted the bunny on the front.  The lace on the front is a punch border, and the grass inside is a punch as well.

When I gave it to Mom her eyes really lit up.  It sure was worth all the work!!  Thanks for looking, and have a great Easter!

CCEE1612 Happy Birthday Frances!

Today is our hostess Frances's birthday.  She challenged us to create a card that includes the things she loves.......owls, and cards that pop up, flip or pull open, accordian style, etc.

Here's my flip owl card (outside)

And here's what it looks like when it flips.  Cool, huh????

Happy happy birthday dear friend!!

CCEE1611 Poultry

Saturday is Poultry Day.  Let's be inspired by poultry when creating our cards this week ........ chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, emus, ostriches, etc. or eggs.  As Easter is just over a week away, you could create an Easter card, but this is optional.  Bonus point if you include Green on your card to celebrate St. Patrick's Day today.

This little duck is a spinner card, and a fun cheery hello or recovery card.

CCEE1609 Blue Dress and Happy

Today is "I want to Be Happy Day"......who doesn't want to be happy:) and tomorrow is Dress in Blue Day (our hostess Frances' favorite color).  So for our cards this week, Frances has challenged us to include the word "Happy" somewhere on our cards and also to include the color blue.

I used a Stampendous image, water coloring the dress caribbean and turquoise blue..
