CCEE1721 CCEE

For Lois's last challenge, she wants us to celebrate our challenge team by representing each of the letters in our name - C-C-E-E.

I used celery, chick, and cameo for the C's
and egg and evergreen for the E's

and made a little matchbox.............it's 1 3/4 " X 1 1/4" and 1/2" deep.

Here it is closed...cameo flowers, gold stickle centers, evergreen leaves, and a green brad.

Inside it says "chick's rule!", and the chick is on a spring so it pops up when opened.

Lois, I hope you enjoyed all the cards (and matchbox) I made in your honor with folds!

Please join us, linking your card or project HERE.

Busy Weekend!

Saturday morning, our youngest grandson, John, was confirmed.  The Bishop presented a fairly good sized Confirmation class, and the service was wonderful.

Here's John, wearing his new glasses.

And after, with the family.

Last Confirmand, and Amy says........."PHEW!"

Later...............

Tommy and Sophia went to the Junior Prom, with a whole group of friends in a limo.

Erin just had to have a pic with her younger, but taller, brother.

Here are Tommy and Sophia Colletta:

Just heard from DD, and Tommy said they danced all night, the food was edible (chicken something), and they were all exhausted by the time they got to the Norum's to sleep.  I guess he woke up when someone stepped on him, but it was morning anyway.  Amy and Erin provided breakfast, and the newly licensed guy drove home.  I'm so glad they all had such a good time!!  (And didn't he look fab in his new tux???)

CCEE1719 Wildflowers

Lois tells us that the second week in May is Wildflower Week.  The challenge is to include some flowers on our cards.

Since Lois really likes folded cards, I've decided to honor her this month with those as well as her challenges.  Here you see the front of the card.

And her is what it looks like opened up.  I love the little spray of Spring flowers in the diamond and in the corners.  I hope  you like them too.

Please join us, and link your card HERE.

A gift for Jake

The challenge today from Audrie at SCS was really fun.  We were to be inspired by a Pinterest site of hers, where she saved hand-made books.  I chose an accordian design, which I'm showing you here:

and here is what I did with it:

I filled the accordian album with pictures:

Jake came to spend a few hours with us, play cards, and eat.  I offered him this little mini album to take to college with him, and he was delighted.  He is one of six cousins, and there are pictures of them, him, and two of the whole family!!

Thanks to Audrie for her great ideas!

CCEE1718 Orange

Lois is our hostess for the month of May.  Here's her first challenge:

"Here's a weird celebration.  May 4th is National Candied Orange Peel Day.  To celebrate, let's include the color ORANGE on our cards."

It's known that orange is Lois's favorite color.  Hmmm.........

The words say, "Hoping your Halloween is spooktacular!"

Wasn't this the perfect time to start my Halloween cards for this year??  I'm not really given to using this color much, but it sure worked here.  Thanks Lois!
