The Inspiration Challenge today at SCS goes to Patina.  It's a store that has funky and fun objects for the home.

On the right is the butterfly garland that inspired my card for this morning - all punches in the three colors.  Sure makes me think of Spring (if it ever comes).

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Peach and Lace

Here is the card I made for our challenge today at SCS.  The website (in Chinese) had such beautiful Victorian things!  I chose for inspiration a beautiful lace and peach bag.

The image is from Hampton Arts, colored with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Spun Sugar colors.  I added a rust flourish, lace and ribbon from MFP, and a sprig of little peach flowers.  Hope you like it.

Happy Easter tomorrow.  We are off to DD's to join the rest of the family.  I hope you are spending the day with family and friends too.

Spring Colors! (CHF Challenge below)

My two cards for SCS today use the same colors, but couldn't be more different.  Take a look:

This one is for the color challenge, turquoise, mustard, daffodil.

This one is for the MMTPT Challenge, Tickle a Teapotter.

Please take a gander at my CHF Challenge in pretty greens below before you leave.  Thanks!

CHF23 Pattern Paper

Our hostess at Cornish Heritage Farms this week is Steph.  She has challenged us to create our own patterned paper with CHF stamps.

I used Ornamental Beauty (LL6018) in Spanish Moss, and Haute Couture (5006) in Celery.

The filigree die cut is on top of the cream bg, and the flower is layered with a big pearl on top.  I punched out some flowers in cream, and shaped them with a stylus, then added stickles.

Please join us, linking your card HERE.  You just might win some images from us!  Come back again next week.

Hooray!

My computer guru (whom I LOVE) was just here.  I couldn't get into my blog to post or  do anything else.  How very frustrating!!!!  Now this is the proof it is working. YAY!!!!!!!!!!

So.....I thought I would add the card I made today for SCS.  Here it is:

I kinda like how it turned out.  Hope you do too.  Fussy cutting is still tough with my cast, but I go into a splint on Thursday, so card making will be easier!  Bye for now!!

CCEE1311 Pencils Only, Please!

Our hostess for March, Charlene Merrick, challenged us to make a card using ONLY colored pencils.....NO markers, crayons, or reinkers.  I don't know about you, but colored pencils are always at the bottom of my list!  I guess that's what makes this a challenge, Right???  Here's what I did:

I love this little Rubbernecker image and sentiment.  I did use Sepia ink on the sentiment, but only on the sentiment!

Please join us, linking your card HERE, and come back next week for another of Charlene's themes.

CHF22 Men Only

This week our hostess, Frances, challenged us to make a card for MEN ONLY - for the men in our lives.

This dog (All Ears Dog 582 D) is a digi stamp from Cornish Heritage farms.  The sentiment is computer generated, and the pawprints are markered.

I added spots to the dog, and some pink to his ears.  It's for a great friend who is turning 70.  Inside it says, "Happy Birthday, You Old Dog!"

Please join us at the CHF Blog.  See you in a week.

here it is............

here's my new cast.......and as a background, the t-shirt i received as a surprise from my friend jojot aka joanne grzelak in ct.

do you think she knows me - and that i will stamp no matter what my condition?

i've been stamping for most of the days since my surgery for arthritis in my thumb (arthroplasty), and since this is my 2nd time, it's easier - not less painful, but it's my left hand which doesn't do much anyway.

thanks to all of you for talking me into the red cast again, and for your get well wishes.  hugs.

CCEE1310 The Eyes Have It!

Our Hostess for the month of March is Charlene Merrick.  Her first challenge for us is to use EYELETS!

I haven't used an eyelet in ages, so I guess this was a good challenge for me.  Here's what I did with four gold ones......
I think this little bee is just the cutest thing.  I hope you can see that his wings are glittered.  I'm glad that I saved the little hole-puncher and eyelet setter I've had for ages, 'cause a punch just wouldn't fit!

Please join us, and link your card HERE.  Check out what the DT has done, and come backk next week!

CHF and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Blog Hop Final Day! (CCEE Below)

For the Final day of our combined Cornish Heritage Farms and Faber-Castell Blog Hop, I used one of my favorite images (Giraffe), and gold metallic Gelatos.

The giraffe was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed in black.  The gold gelato was rubbed over the image, then around the edge of the panel.  Finally, it was backed with some matching paper, I added a ribbon, and a small CHF sentiment.

Here's another card using gelatos........can you tell I had fun with them????

I hope  you have enjoyed seeing what can be done with the new products from F-C, and will look at what CHF has to offer as well.  We invite you, as always, to use CHF images, and link HERE.  There are wonderful stamps to be given away!!  See you soon.

CCEE1309 Fairies

For the last challenge of the month, Frances asked us to create a card for National Tooth Fairy Day, which is today.

Since all my gands have finished losiing their teeth, I went in another direction.  I used this cute inchie and a fun sentiment.  It will go in my stash, waiting for the appropriate occasion.

Please join us this week, and be sure your card features a fairy of some kind.  You can link it HERE where we can enjoy it too.  See you next week!

CHF and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome back to the combined Cornish Heritage Farms and Faber-Castell Blog Hop.  Today I have used Gelatos and markers directly on my stamp image.

I spritzed my stamp with water, and applied to water color paper.  It went through the cuttlebug with a nestie, is backed with some fun paper, and a ribbon finishes it off.

Don't forget to check out Faber-Castell, and all their wonderful products!

Please join us with your CHF images (I used Large Daisies), and link your card HERE.  Come and see what the team has to offer tomorrow for our last day.

CHF21 Doily and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Blog Hop

This is our second day combining the Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge with Faber-Castell, using their fabulous new products!!

Our hostess for this week's Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge is Cindy, who chose for us to use a DOILY.

I used Gelatos in Pistachio Green to make an emboss-resist background.  The pattern is CHF's Large Dots Backgrounder (SL3152).  After stamping with Versamark on my white paper, and embossing with clear ep, I wiped on the gelato, smoothed it with my fingers, and wiped off the excess.

The Flower Jar (1602) is a CHF digi, white I printed up, and painted with Guava, Green Tea, and Metallic Gold (all from Faber-Castell), adding a little light blue paint.  I cut it out, popped it up, and printed a tag with a CHF  sentiment on a little gelato'ed tag.

We will continue two more days, using the wonderful new Gelatos, and Mix and Match Media Samplers from Faber-Castell.  Please go to their website, and see how great their products are!

.Please join us and link your card HERE.  See you again next week!

CHF and Faber-Castell Day 1

Today is the first of a 4 day Blog Hop of Cornish Heritage Farms in partnership with Faber-Castell.

My card uses the CHF set called Ornamental Beauty (LL6018).  The background is Gingham (SL3179),

The inks are a new product from Faber-Castell, that look like lip balm sticks, and are called Gelato.  They are very creamy!  I sprayed with water to get the soft look.

Please come back and join us.  If you have F-C media of any kind, feel free to use them.  Link your cards HERE, being sure to use CHF images, and you could win some great stuff!  See you tomorrow.

Calla Lilies

Today is the day to celebrate the Featured Stamper at SplitCoastStampers.  Her name is Andrea, and she has a gallery of pretty cards.

The one I chose to CASE had this same layout, with twine and a button.  I used an old SU set called Long-Stemmed for these beautiful Calla Lilies, and reversed the color choices Andrea had on her card.

I eliminated a sentiment, as I felt it wasn't necessary.

We're having a mixture of rain and snow today.  I'm so glad we are toasty warm in our house.  Hope you are toasty and warm wherever you are.

Welcome to another Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge.  This time I am your hostess, and the theme is Valentines Day.

This cow (cow 2 - 2525 Digi) with the rose in her teeth cracks me up! And how about that sentiment (I'm In The Moo-ood.... 2527 Digi)???

This little beauty is going to my DH, who also celebrates his birthday on the same day.

Snow, Copper Medallion and Peacock

We are in the midst of a blizzard, more than 2 feet of snow has already fallen, with more to come, and wild winds.  That's DH, using the snowblower for the first round.  He's 6'4" tall, so you can tell how deep the snow is!!

I had to make a brightly colored card today in self-defense!  I used the emboss resist technique, where embossing is put down first, then sponged.  I really love the soft look of the sponging.

This card is for three challenges today at SCS.  I just enjoy combining them...more of a challenge to me!

Hope you are safe and warm, wherever you are.  Thanks for looking, and enjoy your weekend.

CCEE1306 Enjoy The Ride!

Our Hostess for the month of February is Frances.  Our challenge this week is to create a card that features some sort of weather (apparently the 5th of Feb. was "Weatherperson's  Day"), ie. sun, clouds, rain, snow, etc.

As y ou can see, I stayed away from bad weather.  I'm tired of Winter already!!  I thought this fun card was more like Spring or Summer.  Am I rushing the seasons??

Please feel free to join us, and add your card to Mr. Linky HERE.  We'll be back next week with another theme from Frances.

Just grands! (CHF below)

Here is Erin in her new costume                                       and Tommy in his new braces!

Erin is an Irish Step dancer, and her costumes are gorgeous (thanks to Gram and great Gram)....... she's so pretty to begin with, and only prettier on the floor before the judges.  She helped design this dress, and was so pleased with the results.  She got a trophy in pink and gold on the first outing, and everyone stopped to stare at her in her favorite color, she said.

Tommy looks pretty happy in his braces, but only time will tell how happy he is!  My daughter called this AM to tell me she had posted his picture after she dropped him off at school.  He had Tylenol before and after, but tonight he's going to be sore.

That's the latest on two of the seven.......just in case you wanted an update (and even if you didn't!)

CHF Fisherman

Here's a card I made for friends who are big into fishing!! I used Cornish Heritage Farms digis - #193 Fisherman, and #1655 Fishing You.....

The bg is CHF's Netting.  I think they are perfect together.

CHF has so many wonderful images......in red rubber and digis.  Be sure to take a look HERE, and join us at the next CHF challenge on the 29th.

Today I'm uploading two cards I made, 1 yesterday and 1 this morning.  I am tired of RED!  can you believe such a thing?????  My Valentine cards are all made, and sitting with their envelopes, ready for mailing.  All I have to do is get some nice crisp FIVES to put in for the Grands.  I have a few cards made for Groundhogs Day, so on to St. Pat's.  Here they are:

CCEE1303 Clean and Simple Sympathy

Welcome to another CCEE Challenge.  Our hostess Joanne chose our theme........she says she struggles with making clean and simple cards.  Personally, I don't buy that......she's so good at everything!  In addition to CAS, it has to be Sympathy.

I'm so sorry to say I needed this card, and it has gone in the mail to a friend who lost her mother.

Please join us, adding your card HERE.  See  you again in another week!

CHF18 Sketch Challenge

Here is the Challenge from Cornish Heritage Farms this week.  Kristine has given us a sketch challenge.

I really love a sketch.......I don't have to think so hard.  All I had to do was to look through my CHF images, and I was on my way.

Here is the card I made to go with the sketch.  This is a digi called "Deer With Lights" (2541).

I colored the deer in two shades of brown, RED, and gold for the bells.  The strip across is RED mirror paper.

Please join us this week (and every week) and link your card or project HERE.  There's always a prize, so use any CHF image, and Good Luck!

Easter!

Do you think I'm rushing the season?? Here is the Easter card I made today!

This card is a case of a pink one made by my cyberfriend, Lynn in Texas.  She is our Featured Stamper at SplitCoastStampers today.  It's such a pleasure to see her chosen this week!

Today will be spent as yesterday was, in front of the television, watching football.  I was just delighted to see Peyton Manning done for the year.  I'm not a fan of the Ravens (they are dirty players), but I really don't care for Denver as a place for our Pats to play after they defeat Houston today!! (Gosh! I hope I didn't jinx them!!!)

Today would be the VERY LAST day to be with my daughter-in-law, Debbie.  She is such a fan of the Patriots that even being in the room with her is painful!  She may give us a call if something unusual happens, but we are not missing her today.

Have a wonderful Sunday, enjoy the football if you are so inclined, and please root for our guys!!
