A Raise for Erin

Got a call last night from our granddaughter Erin.  Seems she got a  5% raise, in advance of her review next month.  How cool is that?!  I made a card for her this AM, and it's in the mailbox waiting to be picked up soon.

It fulfilled two challenges this AM on SplitCoastStampers, the Free4All, and the MIX (splat). 

We are delighted to hear she is doing well, but are not in the least surprised!!

"Yesterday was National Fossil Day!  A fossil is a preserved impression of a once-living thing from a past geological age, including plants, animals, shells, and more.  Create a card including anything that has been found as a fossil  - dinosaurs, leaves, amber, footprints, etc.

CCEE1937 Honey Month

Frances tells us, "Apparently September is Honey Month, so for our challenge this week use this as your inspiration ... honey, bees, bears, even stamp companies that have honey in their name!"

I haven't made a shaker card in ages, and now I'm not so sure of what I put in it.  There are gold sequins and black and gold microbeads.  I think I should have left the black out.....makes it look kinda dirty.

My grandson John's girlfriend, Autumn, will appreciate the work, so it will go to her.

First Day of School

Just had to post this picture our son David sent us.  This is our granddaughter Sam, as she leaves for first day of Law School.  WE are all so proud of her.
