Three in One

This is the first time I have ever combined three challenges in one - I needed to catch up for yesterday, when stamping just didn't happen.

This is for: Diane (pinkberry) our Featured Stamper, and I cased a card of hers.

The TLC today is to use a partial image. Check.

The CAS is to use a sketch provided by Angela. Check.

We are off today for a Bone Density Test for Mom, and we are in desperate need of black markers.  Why is it we run out of things at the same time??

Have a great day.  Don't forget the MFP Blog Hop starts here tomorrow, with four new fabulous sets!!

Inspired by Ties

For the IC and Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge..........a one layer card.

This is made with a new set called "Lighthouses" that will be shown with three more sets on Tuesday in a Blog Hop.  I hope you will visit here and see!!

We are off for the day.  Errands this morning, then to DD's for corned beef and cabbage, then to Tom and Cheryl's as usual for dinner and cards.  A fun day planned.

Have a great day today, and a fab weekend.

QFTD104 and CCEE1211 International Challenge (F4A)

Welcome to another CCEE Challenge!  This week our hostess Joanne (jojot) chose an International theme.

I thought you could probably figure out for yourself what country I chose!

The colors are monochromatic sepia on tan, with brown ribbon and raffia.  The images are from Beeswax, and the sand dunes were made by sponging post-its.  I used the hieroglyphics on the side only, and stamped them in black so they would show up just a little more.  The charm is from MFP. If you click on the card, you will see a larger image.

Please join us and link your card to our blog HERE.  Don't forget to check out the DT entrees, and make a comment or two.  See you again next week.  ( I also used this for the Free For All)

Now I know you were just dying to see some RED, and so was I, so here is my card honoring our Queen For The Day, Melina (mepylant).

I'm beginning to make Mother's Day cards, and I just loved her colors and layout.  I changed the image and sentiment to the new set from Mark's Finest Papers, Mother's Magnolias, that will be released here on Tuesday.  Please come here then to see the samples of what's in store. (And don't forget to check here for sneak peeks too!)

Our diets are a bother, so I think since we are missing our regular food and snacks, not to mention going out and having a glass of wine, we will quit while we have the chance.  We lost 4 lbs.  I should have lost 10-15.  Life goes on, and I'd like to enjoy it. (Had a cortisone shot in my thumb yesterday - if it works, surgery will be OUT.  YAY!)  Have a great day!

Wild Horses Peek

Here's a sneak peek of another set from MFP - a Heinrich Co. that will be released on Tuesday of next week.

I think this "Wild Horses" set is wonderful for making masculine cards.  It has wonderful images and sentiments to go with almost anything.

There will be a blog hop here starting Tuesday, and I hope you will join me.  There are free sets as prizes, so be sure to comment!!!

Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek of a new set from Mark's Finest Papers - A Heinrich Co.  It will be released a week from today with three more sets.  This one is called "Lighthouses".  Cool, huh?

This is for the Color Challenge today on SCS.  Daffodil, Pool Party, and Poppy Parade, plus ribbon, was the theme.  I thought spotlighting the lighthouse worked really well. I hope you like it.

Rain today, but warm.  Mom has a Bone Density test today, so we'll go out just for that.  Have a great day.

Pictures of family

DD just sent these on..........from grandson Jake's Bar Mitzvah:

Erin, Amy, Tommy, Tom, John

Paul and Greg

Amy and Jake

Steve and Judy Winer, Jake, Anne, Mom, Jay - Grandparents and Great Grandmother

Grandchildren:
Back row:  Nathan, samantha, Erin.
Front: Tommy, Jake, John

Great Grandma

And a great picture of our Irish Dancer at the St. Patrick's day Parade in Worcester:

That's our Erin on the right!!

Featured Stamper and Family

Above are the two cards I made in honor of my friend, Harriet (hskelly), who is our Featured Stamper today.  Harriet and I are on a DT together, and I have to say, she is one of the sweetest people I know (at least cyber-ly!).  She always has lovely things to say, and cares about her teammates all the time.

Below is the first picture to come out of the Bar Mitzvah of our grandson, Jake.  My son Paul is his father, and Debbie, his mom, is now breathing again.  It has been a very stressful week for her.......more than for Jake!

Jakey did a fabulous job of reading the Torah, and he was so poised and grown-up! It was a lovely day with friends and family.  We all fully enjoyed it, even those of us who had never been to a Shul or ceremony before! Very impressive.

The ceremony was followed with great food and fellowship, and we are all glad it's done!  I hope you enjoy seeing the picture of the sweet boy and the exhausted parents!

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #98

The challenge today is BINGO........I chose the bottom row, Image, Circles, and Piercing.

My posting is a bit late.......today was our Grandson Jake's Bar Mitzvah.  It was fun.  He was fabulous.  We were all weepy, he did so well.  There was a wonderful cocktail hour, and amazing food.  I came home to unwind and do the challenge.  I hope you like it.

Double Challenge and an ANNOUNCEMENT!!

This card is a case for our Queen For The Day, Neva (n5stamper) McMullen!

I combined two challenges, since that's what Neva's known for.  The other challenge today was the Free 4 All, to use fan folding.

It's been a while since I used RED.  Can you believe it???????  So here's a fan folded candle for a bright and fun birthday card.

Congratulations Neva.....enjoy your reign as our new Queen.

Now.......AHEM........(trumpet blare please, and drum roll)......I am pleased to announce that I have been selected to be a member of the new Cornish Heritage Farms Design Team.  The team was announced yesterday on the CHF Blog.  Go take a look HERE for all the information.  You'll see some VERY familiar names.  Keep an eye out for more!!

CCEE1210 Rosey Rose (Big Boy Toys below)

Our hostess this month in Joanne (jojot), who set our theme as Flowers.

How can  you get more floral than to use a rose, and what better than the rose color!!

The bg rose is cb'd with Swiss Dots, and the white front panel is also cb'd with SU's Manhattan Floral.  I sponged the flowers, then added an Inkadinkado sentiment.  The white ribbon had primas attached, and rose punched leaves a la Martha Stewart.  I hope you like it.

Please join us this week and every week HERE, and be sure to check out the rest of the DT.  See you with another fun challenge next week!

For the Ways To Use It challenge, the theme was Big Boy Toys, and what better than the images of the same name by MFP - a Heinrich Co.  Here's the card I made for SCS today.

Bunny Love

The sketch challenge today was a really easy one.

Instead of strips, I used the cb and some narrow embossing folders.

This bunny is my all-time favorite Easter image, and coloring him is easy.........few colors necessary.  I think he's great for cards for little ones!

Have a great day.  We are off to Mom's to sort out some stuff.

Color Challenge and Teapot Tuesday

The colors for today are pink, wasabi and vanilla.  I even did the dessert, heat embossing.

The Clear EP really makes the colors stand out!  I used a lattice punch, and made tiny flowers with liquid pearl centers.  The leaves are also punches, and curled a bit for some dimension.

Below is my card for the Teapot Challenge...........the theme was cats and books, and the cat was to be ROYAL!

Thanks for looking............have a great day!

Easter Purple

This easter card came about because I loved this image.  I saw a card made with it on Judy's gallery (jaydekay) at SCS, and ended up buying it today at Angel's Landing.  Since it's a digi, it came in right away.  I'd like to thank Judy for enabling me!!!!! LOL!

This is a case of a card by Kecia Waters (LittleSeaOtter), our FS.  I changed the colors, but kept the layout, and used that brand new image.  I hope she likes it (and  you do too!).

Birds on the Wire

For the Inspiration Challenge today, and for Speedy Fox and Friends, here is a Clean and Simple card.

I chose a beautiful stacked white layer cake with birds and yellow flowers.

For SF&F, the challenge this week is to use something recycled.  The bits of ribbon and cord tied into the MFP ribbon at the top, and all pieces saved from other things.

Have a great day.  Tom and Cheryl come for dinner tonight, and I made a crockpot full of beef stew.  It's starting to really smell good!

Have a great weekend!

Casing Judy's Flowers and a Giraffe for Easter

Our QFTD today is Judy Rozema.  She has the most wonderful gallery filled with lovely cards (and lots of giraffes!)

I cased her card, changing the yellow to blue, the layout is a speck different, and I added a black ribbon (which I hope  you can see!)

I may go back and do another card for her.......a giraffe maybe????

We have ice under the snow, so we will probably hunker down where we are.  Hate winter!!  Seeya.

I couldn't let the day go by without making another card for Judy.  I mentioned the giraffe in my earlier post, and cased a card of hers called "Stretch".

I made her card into an Easter card, and it will probably go to one of the grands.....they ALL have a great sense of humor.  They really enjoy getting cards, especially because I always put in some $.

I think Judy will get a smile out of this one.

That's it.  No more additions or edits for me today.

CCEE Spring Scene

The challenge this week is to make a card for Spring. Our hostess for this month is Joanne (jojot).

I couldn't resist using my new die cut window, showing the inside of the house and Spring starting outside.

I added a cute little kittie, and a mouse scampering away.

Please join us, and link your card HERE.

We have a new challenge every Thursday..........hope to see you again next week!!

Sweet Easter

I love the sweet expression on the face of this Penny Black bunny.  I used this image today for the Sketch Challenge at SCS.

I'm tired of St. Patrick's Day cards........you can get really sick of Green, Green, Green!

There is a Blog Hop coming up for the month of March at Mark's Finest Papers - A Heinrich Company, and the images are just wonderful.  I'm getting started on them today.

We are expecting snow later today, and I can't say I'm all that happy about it.  The only good thing is that we are a day closer to Spring.  We are enjoying programming from Spring Training Baseball from FL, and that's the only thing keeping our heads above water now.

Have a great day wherever you are.

Hello Friend

A combined challenge this morning.......the TLC and CAS.

A simple card, really.  Just took a little longer than I thought, and I wish I had made the image a little straighter, but that's show biz!

Today is haircut day.  Our DGS's Bar Mitzvah is less than two weeks away.  I have nothing to wear yet, and may have to go in a paper bag, since nothing fits.  I've enjoyed eating, and it shows.

Have a great day.
