Sweet Little Crow

I love reverse masking........so easy!! This card is for both challenges, the TLC and CAS.  I used the tiniest crow from MFP's new set, Planted With Love, that will be released tomorrow with three other sets!  There will be a blog hop here.......be sure to come back and look!

RED for two!

For two challenges today, the IC at SCS, and for Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge at MFP.  The MFP challenge was to use a die cut in the bg.  I used a mega-nestie, and two EFs with the cb.  Feel free to join us every saturday.

StampinB's Challenge - Beach Scene with Sand

The theme for today's Stampin'B's challenge is to make a beach scene, and to use sand.either REAL sand or sand that is stamped.  I hope you like what I did, and that you will joiin us this week.  See you next Thursday!

Creative Belli Challenge - Your Own Embellishment

We have a fun project for  you this week...........Make Your Own Embellishment.  Remember the bottom line plan here......use what's already in your stash.

I made my own crocheted flower, and of course it's RED!  I only added a punched edge, a simple sentiment, and sizzix branch with the little ribbon.  I think I could use this card for almost any occasion.

Marsh Butterflies

The CC today is Melon Mambo, Dusty Durango, Rich Razz.  Tough combination, but I think Mom and I got it done.  We even did the dessert....the pin.  Off on a "field trip" today to our Sanitary Landfill (the Dump), then out to lunch! YAY!  Have a great day.

Two for Two

Two challenges, two cards, using sneak peeks for Mark's Finest Papers that will be released next week.  The top one is for the CAS, Planted With Love, and the bottom for TLC (Faux Silk) using Adirondack Summer.

There is a fun set of holiday challenges under CAS today at SCS.  Mom and I have done one, and will take a look at the others.  Today is a day of rest for us, so we can play all day!! YAY!  Happy 4th!

Sneak Peek for July

Here's a sneak peek of a set called "Planted With Love" that will be released soon by Mark's Finest Papers.  I made this card in honor of our Featured stamper, Cindy, at SCS.  In the coming week, there will be more cards using the four new release sets....be sure to watch for them.

The party yesterday was such fun.  Today my foot feels awful.......I still can't get a shoe on!  But we had lots of laughs, and ate great food, brought by Sheila, Amy, David, and Julia (artystamper).  The kids (ages 10, 11, 14, 14, 14, 14, 16)  had a great time in the pool and hot tub, and we had 2 year old Chase (with his flaming RED hair) to enjoy as well.  We're pretty tired today, and will be content to sit and watch the baseball game.

I hope your 4th of July weekend is full of family, and that you will all be safe and happy!!

Pink Flowers at 3 AM

When you can't go to sleep, what do you do?  I'm so happy to be connected to SCS 24/7.  The Inspiration Challenge was posted, and here's my card.  I really like it, and hope you do too.

At ten this morning, there will be 22 of us for a cookout/pool party/hot tub soak.  It's supposed to be a really nice day. Hooray!  I hope you are having a fun weekend, and I'll get back to you on Sunday or Monday.

Country Music Day

Today I combined both challenges....Free4All (choose a holiday in July), and QFTD, honoring nwilliams6, Nancy.  I cased a card of Nancy's, changing the size and theme, and of course using RED. 

The rest of the day is gonna be busy........shopping, haircuts, getting ready for the 22 coming tomorrow.  The number keeps growing!  I hope to comment later on.  If I don't get to you, have a great 4th of July weekend.

StampinB's Challenge

The StampinB's challenge this week is from Faith........to use two different shapes and piercing.  I just got some new nesties, and couldn't wait to open them up.  I hope you like what I did for the challenge, and hope you will join us as well!  See you next week for another!!

White Butterfly

For both Tuesday challenges this week.

DS Paul and wife Debbie are coming today.  They are both so happy to be out of school! YAY!  It looks like it will be a nice pool and hot tub day........and for cooking out.  Guess I better get some stuff out of the freezer!

Mom and I go to her house tomorrow, then back here on Thursday.  We have to shop and get ready for our annual party on the 2nd (raindate 3rd).  Mostly family, and some friends (Hi Julia and Kent).  Have a fun day today!

Over The Edge

Here's my card for two challenges today.  The CAS was a color challenge, and who could resist RED, Black, and White?  The Technique was unnamed, but I call it Over The Edge, as that's how the image is to be done.

Sun is finally shining today.  We are resting after taking all the furniture and books out of the upstairs.  Now all we have to do is walk around everything in all the downstairs rooms.  What a mess.  I hope the carpenters and painters come soon!!  Have a great day.

Casing Claudine

Our FS today is my DT friend, Claudine Poch (sevencats).  I kept her wonderful colors and layout, but changed the rest.  If you want to see her original, please check out her gallery at SCS..she has some fab cards and projects!

Finishing clearing out the upstairs today, and watching the RED sox.....crossing our fingers for a win!! Have a great day!

Faux Metal Elephant

I was delighted to be asked by Smiling Stef to make a sample for this week's Inspiration Challenge at SCS.  The piece I chose from the Sundance catalog was an Elephant Charm Necklace, with a sterling silver ellie and turquoise beads.  As you can see, I used the Faux Metal Technique, and beads of silver.  The bgs are brushed silver and turquoise glitter paper.

This is also for the Speedy's Friends challenge today.  The theme is "Make It Sparkle", and IRL, this glitter paper is FABulous!!  The elephant image comes from Mark's Finest Papers set called African Veldt.

RED again!

Here's my card for two challenges today, F4A and QFTD.  Stripes were called for, so I cased a card by Marie that had this wonderful SU ribbon.  I matched the color with pomegranate, and used MFP's Brick Wall for the image.

Today is sticky and rainy, but the upstairs needs to be emptied out, so off I go to join DH who has already started.  Have a good day.  Hugs to you all.

Our challenge this week comes from Joanne (jojot) - to use a friendship sentiment.  I used a saying and image from MFP's set, "Poppies, Poppies, Poppies".  Since my friends are at least as old as I am, we share a lot of memories!!
