StampinB's Challenge - 2nd post today.

I just couldn't resist StampinB's challenge today......turquoise, Purple, and something shiny.

Here is another of the images in Hearts Hearts Hearts to be released next week by Mark's Finest Papers.

I have Jake, my DGS all day today, so this is it for me! Have a good one.

Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge #41

Here is the inspiration piece Lori chose for us this week. You can find it here. The box contains cupcake papers, and items on little sticks to put in the top of them. Wouldn't this be a fun gift as an early Christmas present???? Wouldn't kids love to make them?? Wouldn't we all LOVE to EAT them???!!

Here is the card I was inspired to make. I'm sure you're scratching your head, as there is nothing cupcake-y or Christmas-y involved here. To tell the truth, I am tired of making anything to do with Christmas, so instead I chose to follow the shape of the scallop circle.

I think the layers of flowers and pearls and beads make a gift sort of all their own, and loved the teal and pink with the ecru lace. It's really sizeable (6 1/2") round, so it makes a statement!! I think it's a fab birthday card to send to my BFF!

Thanks for looking today. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has done by going to their names ono my sidebar. See you in two weeks!

Another Sneak Peek!

I just love this image.....a new release next week from Mark's Finest Papers, called "Hearts, Hearts, Hearts". I barely colored the flowers.....I think it looks great!!

Happy December. December? Oh Man!! I have 2 grands yet to buy for, give checks to my children, and do something crafty for Mom. Time is running out. Where did it all go?

Faux Tile and flowers

Just got back from PT. I think it stands for Pain and Torture!!

Luckily, I had made my card for the two challenges today before I left. This Faux Tile technique is really fun, and I just love the results.

Have a wonderful day!!

Christmas for Kris

Our Featured Stamper on SCS today is Kris, who is just the nicest! I cased a card of hers mostly on layout. I really needed to make something RED for Christmas. This year I made a lot of nontraditional color cards, but you know I have to make a few in my favorite!!
Have a wonderful Sunday.

...and a Triple!

Here's a card that combines three challenges, and uses my favorite COLOR. How fab is that???!

I combined the IC260 which comes from a site called "The Country Porch", the challenge from the Stampin'B's, to make a Holiday card, and Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge, to use a Bow. Easy peasy.

Dessert First

This is the 7th and final card for the week of Mom's birthday. I used the theme of the F4A40 challenge today for it.

Mom loves ice cream, and actually all desserts, so she will enjoy looking at this yummy creation!

We survived Thanksgiving, adding only 1 # for DH and none for me. YAY! Hope yours was great too.

Have a wonderful day.

Creative Belli Challenge

Our Belli Challenge this week is to use something that begins with the letter "R". Remember, the object of the Belli is that you use what you already have on hand in your stash!!

Of course you can tell I used ribbon, but I had to sneak in a little RED, although that's not an embellishment is it??

The glasses on Santa's face shine IRL with Crystal Effects, and I just got this wonderful set of MS around the page punches, so I had to use them! The image is from Mark's Finest Papers.

Please feel free to join us by adding your card or project here to Mr. Linky, and be sure to look at what the DT has done. See you in two weeks ....... and Happy Turkey Day to you all!

RED roses

It's early in the AM on a very gray day, and taking a good pic was tough. I hope you can see how RED this card really is!

I made this card for both SCS challenges today. I've been up for hours with a migraine, but no time for that........Mom is on her way for the holiday. She has come down (up?) with SHINGLES, and of course is not a happy camper. She is on meds, and I hope we can distract her enough that she will at least be more comfortable.

Have a wonderful day. Hope to be able to craft with Mom and at least upload tomorrow. Seeya!

Get Well for Julia

This morning I combined the CAS and TLC for a get well card. My sweet friend Julia (artystamper) is recuperating from surgery.

I love to make CAS cards.......what a switch from layer and layers that I used to make all the time!!

Today is DD's 39th birthday. HB my wonderful Amy!!

Hello!

The Featured Stamper on SCS today (CriminalGrace) has a wonderful gallery of CAS cards.

I used Mark's Finest Papers set called Speedy the Cat's Friends for this card, done in kraft and white.

Quiet day today. Yesterday DS Paul, DIL Debbie, and DGS Jake spent the day with us, including hot tub, dinner, football and cards. Today it's just us, and later some more football. Go Patriots!! Have a great day.

2nd post - QFTD and IC

The QFTD36 is Bev Maxell, who is just the nicest person. I cased a CAS card of hers, and reversed the colors, using RED for blue.

It's also for Speedy's Friends challenge, to use a circle.

I took some inspiration from the website Pony Plaid Village.......a RED hat.

Have a fun day and a great weekend!

Snowy Woods

I really love this set from Mark's Finest Papers, called A Walk in the Woods. The variety of images of trees is fabulous!!

These trees were masked, I used the cb for the top part of the chard, and sponged and masked the rest. I hope you like it.

It's also for StampinB's challenge this week to use snowflakes.

Ankhs!

Can you tell I'll a little left of center today? The challenge was to make a thank you card.

I have no thank you cards per se in my stash, and seldom put Thanks on the front of a card. This one however deserved one, even though it's a play on words.

This will go to Mom for her birthday (I'm still sending one a day for the week of her big day!). It will thank her for having 88 birthdays, 66 of them that I've been enjoying with her. She LOVES anything Egyptian, and has never seen this image. I think she will get a big kick out of it!!

I'm off to PT for my hand this AM. See you later.

Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge #40

Welcome to another week of the Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge.

This week Lori chose this site pictured here:

http://www.decade-gifts.com/gift-629/The-Perfect-Remedy

Here is the card I made, inspired by the picture. I loved the medallion in the corners and the colors.

I added ribbon and flowers, and a punched piece of SU dp that really matched. I hope you like the results.

Please feel free to join us. Be sure to take a look at what the DT did with this picture by going to my sidebar and clicking on their names. See you next month!

Christmas Lighthouse

I am in love with this set, called Welcome Home from Mark's Finest Papers! The lighthouses and sentiments are fabulous, and they can be used all year long.

I hadn't made any RED cards for a while and was starting to feel some withdrawal, so I hope you don't mind so much of it today!

Have a wonderful day - hugs to you all.

Mom's Birthday Approaches!

Today I uploaded three cards, all for Mom's birthday. She is 88 this year. I will be sending her a card every day of the week of her b'day. She loves to get mail, and what better than some pretty flowers and butterflies.

The blue butterfly card uses the WISH technique which you can find on SCS under TLC299. It's easy, and I think it comes out wonderfully.

The flower cards are for the Color Challenge and for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge, which is very special this week. My Mom will be the recipient of the cards the Teapotters make if they choose to send them. She will be thrilled and overwhelmed!! If any of you would like to send her a card too, I'd be glad to give you her address.

Thanks for looking here today. Have a great day, and hugs to you all.

Inverted Circle

Since I still have some Thanksgiving cards to make (and time is short! WOW!), this is for the CAS93 at SCS today. We were to follow a sketch, and I took a few liberties. (What else is new?)

I'm using the Thankful For You set from MFP. It has such wonderful images for Fall and the holiday!

Thanks for looking. Have a great day, and I'm glad to be back!

I'm BACK!

We had a wonderful week in New Hampshire. The leaves were gone, but the weather was perfect, and we really relaxed......then it was home to return to our retirement. How cool is that???

I was just in time for the FS today, so made this card from two MFP sets, Snowman Country (image), and Christmas Postage Due (saying).

My hand is healing slowly, still painful, but the swelling is mostly down, just a left-over hematoma to deal with. I have limited movement, but have faith it will return!

Glad to be home!!
