CCEE1617 Baseball

Anne here with my last challenge for April.  It's baseball season again.  Promote your favorite team, their colors, or just a baseball theme.

My team is the Boston RED Sox, but I chose to use the theme of baseball, as I had this wonderful saying.  It has been languishing in a drawer!!  About time to get it inky.

Thanks for joining me this month.  I hope you will create something, and link it to our blog HERE.  We have a new challenge every Thursday, and love to have you join us!!

From Sandy and Laura for Easter!

What a nice surprise!  This morning my friends Sandy and Laura gave me flowers for Easter!  Here they are:

Aren't they the most beautiful hydrangeas you've ever seen???

I had to make them thank-you cards immediately, and since these pink hydrangeas were so gorgeous, that determined the theme of the card:

I used the tole technique (cut out layers and popped), and the card will please them, I know.  What nice friends they are !!  Thanks, Sandy and Laura!

Corner Fold Card for Mom

I just had to share a card I made for my mother for Easter.  It's called a Corner Fold,
and it's just the cutest thing.  Here are the pictures so you can see all the parts:

This is the way it looks as it comes out of the envelope.

Here is the inside, left and right as it opens up.

This is the base that folds up as it closes, and down as it opens.

The reason it says "hoppy eggster" is because our oldest son, David, has called it that for years.

I used lots of die cuts (bunnies, chicks, clouds, sun, eggs, banner, letters), and painted the bunny on the front.  The lace on the front is a punch border, and the grass inside is a punch as well.

When I gave it to Mom her eyes really lit up.  It sure was worth all the work!!  Thanks for looking, and have a great Easter!

CCEE1611 Poultry

Saturday is Poultry Day.  Let's be inspired by poultry when creating our cards this week ........ chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, emus, ostriches, etc. or eggs.  As Easter is just over a week away, you could create an Easter card, but this is optional.  Bonus point if you include Green on your card to celebrate St. Patrick's Day today.

This little duck is a spinner card, and a fun cheery hello or recovery card.

CCEE1606 Heart Shape Animals

From Lynn:

Way back when I was in grade school, every Valentine's Day my classmates and I had such fun creating Valentine Critters to decorate our Valentine boxes.  The task for today is to create an animal of any kind on your card in which you use heart shapes for some of its body parts.

Using my owl punch and a heart punch, I made this Valentine Owl.

CCEE1605 Skating Snowman

Our new hostess for the month of February is Lynn McAuley.  Her first challenge to us:

Many of us are having icy or snowy weather (or are dreaming that we do) now that February has arrived.   My challenge to you is to create a project which features some activity unique to the cold months of Winter.

My snowman from Sassy Cheryl (via Vicky Gould....thanks!) is having the time of his life skating on the pond.  Thank goodness he can do it.  I am such a klutz that the few times I went skating were a disaster!!
