CHF01 Challenge - Anything Goes
Welcome to the very FIRST Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge!
Frances Byrne chose our theme - Anything Goes. She wanted the first to be easy peasy, and it is!
I used Vintage Flower Vine BG (SL3174), and Versamarked it, then sponged with lavender chalk. The Eiffel Tower comes from the set called Haute Couture (ATC5006), and was markered directly on the rubber. I added some clouds and flowers over the nesties.
We hope you will join us, and add your card to our blog here. Don't forget to check out the DT and what they have done. Click the names on my sidebar. Our next challenge is June 5th. See you then.

Variegated Leaves
I need some help here......
This card is for a combined challenge at SCS. I used my brayer, cb, and Sizzix leaves. Then I think I went one step too far when I punched the edge. Should I do this again, and forget about the punch???????????
I used two sentiments from Rubbernecker Stamps, and they are both in the same set (600 Phrase Set - Best Wishes).
Please remember to join in on the Blog Hop by clicking on the top badge to the right before the 25th.........you could win some fab Rubbernecker stamps!!

CCEE 1220 Embossed Vellum
Charlene challenged us this week to emboss some vellum. I dry embossed some white vellum with a flourish design, and attached it by brads to a rust bg. The striped paper (and in face ALL the paper ) is from SU's Outlaw Pack.
The image was colored with markers in rust and sage, and all I did was to sponge the edges and add a ribbon.
I hope you will want to join us again this week. Please link your card HERE, and join us again next week!

Butterfly Sneak
This card is a multiple....for our new Queen, Wanda, I cased one of her cards from her fabulous gallery, and it's also for the Free For All, to make a small tall card.
This card will go in a bill-sized envelope. Keeps down the expense of those, but takes more paper than usual, so I don't know if this is a bonus or not!
Beautiful sunny day, and Mom and I are invited out for lunch. Of course we said YES!!
Hope you are having a terrific day! Hugs to you all.

CCEE Challenge 1219 - Make a Button
Welcome back to another CCEE challenge. This time, we were to make our own button(s).
I used a really old SU set and DP. The button was made by layering punches, glueing between the layers, and poking holes with a piercer. Crystal Effects makes the button shiny. The only hard part is waiting for it to dry (and I'm really impatient!). I added a ribbon, a nestie and some corner die cuts, and a couple of yellow pearls. Oh yes, and some crystal effects to the vase.
Please join us by linking your card HERE so we can enjoy it too, and be sure to join us again on Thursdays for another fun challenge!

Sneak Peek for the Sketch Challenge
Here's a sneak peek of a new set coming out next Tuesday in a Blog Hop. Mark's Finest Papers - A Heinrich Co. has four new ones like this one, Oopsy Daisy. Be sure to be here to see my samples.
The sketch challenge today was this nice and simple layout. I love the combination of strips and squares. I'll go to this one again!
Have a great day, and send us some sunshine, please!

Sneak Peek MFP
This is a sneak peek of a new set from Mark's Finest Papers - a Heinrich Co. It will be released with three others next Tuesday in a Blog Hop.........I hope you'll come here and take a look.
The set is called "Flamingos on Vacation", and has such fun sayings and images for summer.
I made this card for the Color Challenge, and did some sponging and paper piecing. I hope you like it.
Rainy and dark today. I could really use some summer weather, and HOT! would be fine with me!!
Have a wonderful day, wherever you are!

Chic Diva
Immediately I thought of this beautiful (retired) image from Cornish Heritage Farms. I had some wonderful matching paper that was mostly Sage, and I love it. I hope you like what I did with the challenges today.
Today we have some errands, and I have to call the Spa place. We are losing water! The pool is a beautiful color, but suddenly cloudy. Looks like it's shaping up to be an expensive day. Ah, the joys of home ownership!!
Have a great day.....do something FUN!

Inspiration and Speedy's Friends Challenges
Today I combined the challenges. The Inspiration was The Victorian Trading Co., where beautiful gifts are all vintage. A gorgeous site to visit. I chose a pair of sheet music shoes with a fan front and flowers in pink. I think I reproduced it fairly well.
Speedy the Fox and Friends Challenge #106 was chosen by Kelli - to use something 3 times. I used 3 different flowers, brads, and used 3 layers of the same dp (CK).
We welcome you to join us each week on Saturday. Please upload your card to Mr. Linky HERE so we can enjoy it too.
DH is off at Holy Cross, officiating at the Eastern Colleges Track Meet again in the rain today. Mom and I have a gazillion things to do, so I won't be checking in any time soon. Have a good one, and send us some SUNSHINE!!

QFTD Betty
Our Queen for the Day is Betty Wright. What a sweet and talented lady she is!! I had no problem finding a card of hers to case. Just the opposite....too many!!
Betty, I hope you like how I changed your card to make it mine. Enjoy your reign as Queen!
Betty does a lot of sewing, and as a former dressmaker, you'd think I would love to do it. NOT! I used glue.....no machine.
Had a busy day already. Got up early and drove to Mom's to meet the guy who put in her Stair-lift. I packed my car with more of her stuff, and drove home. He arrived shortly after I did, and there was a slight problem. He left for an hour to get more tools, so I took Mom out to lunch. He came back, and I took her to the hairdresser. I'll go back and get her in 45 min., and I'm sure he won't be done. A lot of running around, but it will be easier for her to get upstairs to her bedroom here. PHEW! I'm tired out!
Have a great day, and be sure to check out Betty's beautiful gallery at SCS.

CCEE Challenge 1218 Gingham
Welcome to another CCEE challenge! This week our hostess Charlene told us to use Gingham.
I love to make masculine cards! I just love this sailboat from Cornish Heritage Farms.........it's a digi! I paired it with dark blue gingham and solid dark blue, and some fabulous nautical ribbon from my stash. I also had a sailboat button, but made it RED with a sharpie marker.
We hope you will want to join us, and HERE is where you can add your card to Mr. Linky.
Join us again next Thursday and every Thursday for another fun challenge!

Cowboy in RED
It's been a while since I posted, so how could I resist something in RED?
This card uses the sketch challenge at SCS today. My images are from MFP - A Heinrich Co.'s set, "Hey Cowboy". I love the silhouette and barbed wire!
This color combination is my favorite, of course, and cheered me a bit on another rainy and dark day. I have been trying (!) to do some cleaning in my craft room, and it's really hard to see much. How's that for an excuse?
No plans for the rest of the day, except reading and watching the RED Sox tonight. Have a great day yourself!

Pictures from the NH Convention
Julia Aston (artystamper) and I spent the weekend in Manchester NH at the CK Scrapbook Convention as demos for Rubbernecker stamps. We spent Friday on our feet from 9 to 6, and we were really tired.
I was demoing The Beach, a Kittie Kit, making samples and chatting with those who were stampers and scrappers as well. I really enjoyed meeting so many wonderful and creative women (and a few men too!). This is my stamping area..pic taken by Julia.
Here is Julia, and this time I took the picture. She was demonstrating what could be done with sponging and masking beautiful sets of baskets and vases full of flowers. On Saturday, we worked from 9 to 5, and by the end of the convention, we were EXHAUSTED. We had a wonderful time, but we were glad to go home to our own beds, and have our feet up!
Dave, the Rubbernecker stamps owner, was delighted to tell us we were responsible for breaking all the previous numbers of sales by almost DOUBLE. I guess we did well for him. We're doing it again in June in Springfield MA. I think we're just gluttons for punishment!! Thanks Julia for a great weekend, my friend!!
Happy Birthday in Blue
Here's a card I made as a catch-up.......I was away Thursday until last night. Then Mom and I went to her house to pack up more stuff, and so I didn't get to QFTD and Speedy's Challenge until now.
I cased Holly's card, keeping the dog theme, and for Speedy, the challenge was to use mostly blue.
I couldn't find a great match of ink for the paper, so I added some RED! That fixes everything! Have a fun day. I'm off to watch the RED Sox.

CCEE1217 Scallops, flowers, buttons, and a CHF!
Here's a card for the CCEE challenge this week. Cindy Haffner is our hostess, and this time she's asked us to use scallops, flowers, and buttons on our cards.
The scallops are the clouds, done with a template and sponge. The flowers have teeny tiny button brads in their centers. I added a two colored pink snail die cut. I think he's having fun with the garden all to himself!
Please join us, and link your card HERE. Be sure to join us again next week!!
For the Ways To Use It Challenge, I made this card from a CHF digi, Harbour Scene. Our task was to make a monochromatic card. Of course, for a masculine card I think of BLUE, every time.
This will be my last post until next Monday. I'm off to the Manchester NH Scrapbook and Stamp Show with my sweet friend Julia (artystamper), where we'll be working a booth. Have a great rest of the week.

A Get Well Wish
Mom and I waited until 9 this morning to head off for Lynn. We had a chance to make a card for the sketch challenge, but that's all.
we got caught in the Rte. 128 traffic that was the result of an accident, but still got there only 4 minutes late to meet the Realtor for an appraisal. He was very nice, and loved her house. wait until he sees it without all the stuff in it, and CLEAN!! Brought more STUFF home, so we are getting there. Seeya later.

TrainTalk (tutorial with Train Talk below) and CHF for the Tea Party!
What an awful start to my day!! I lost my Watermark. Then I went to find it, and couldn't even get into cookies!
The good news, my boss, Amanda, sent another one to me, and I am good to go. Also, the tutorial I did (my first) loaded, even though Blogger is weird these days. In addition, the rain has stopped, and my three day headache is gone! WOO-HOO!
Have a good one. Mine is looking up at last!
Now, since things were going well, I decided to take a stab at the MMTPT challenge!
The challenge involved Tattoos, of all things. This card is a fashion statement for those of you who have one. Not for me. Here you see a thigh with a fancy flourish tattoo, and to show it off, some fishnet hosiery!! (Might as well see it, right?)
Now I am really done. Don't forget to take a look at the tutorial.

Blog Hop for Cornish Heritage Farms
Welcome to Cornish Heritage Farms blog hop! Come join us as the Cornish Heritage Farms Design Team take you on a journey discovering all sorts of CHF goodness! If you didn’t start at the beginning of this hop, you might want to head on over to the Cornish Heritage Farms Blog so that you don’t miss out on anything.
This month we have 17 backgrounders, 3 ATC Sets, 2 individual Rummage Bin Stamps and 3 Rummage Bin Stamp sets being released.
"First 24 Special" - receive 15% off all orders that are placed within the first 24 hours of the release.
Be sure to leave a comment on everyone’s blog as you travel from blog to blog for your change to win some Cornish Heritage Farms blog candy. Three of our CHF Design Team members will be giving away blog candy, but who they are is a secret! They will be giving away one new CHF stamp to a random person who leaves a comment on their blog!
Here is a sample of the new Ornaments Vines Background set (SL3174). I stamped it in RED Versafine ink on white cardstock. I punched the bottom layer, added some flowers and a brad, and tied a black ribbon around it. The sentiment is a digital from CHF (Here's Wishing...) which I cut out with a nestie, and backed with a RED one. Doesn't the background look fabulous???
This next card was done in only gray and white. The background is Fishnet (3200), stamped in black on white cardstock. The image is a digital from CHF called "Harbour Scene". The only addition is a gray and white striped ribbon, tied with a magenta piece of twine. I love combining the theme of bg and image!!
