CCEE1926 Catfish Day

For her last challenge this month, Lois says Tuesday the 25th was National Catfish Day.  She asks us to create a card that has some kind of fish or sea life on it.

I don't know whether this is a bass or not, but it goes to Jake, our family fisherman.  He loves to get funny cards, so here is the inside:

Please feel free to join us, and be sure to link your card to our blog HERE.

CCEE1924 Sewing

Lois next challenges us to make a card with some stitching on it, in honor of Sewing Machine Day (today).  It can be actual stitching, faux stitching, or stitch edged dies.

I used real sewing and also a stitched edge rectangle.  I thought  you might want to see the saying on the inside, so that's below.

I LOVE June!

Summer and June.  What could be better?

We have had graduations, Sam from College, a Criminal Justice major, and soon to Law School:

With David and Sarah, the proud parents

And Jay and me, the grandparents who got to go too,

And John, who graduated from High School, hopefully off to the Job Corps

and parents, Amy and Tom

and the grands, who got to go as well.

The brother and sister were proud of him too - Tom and Erin

And then there was Erin's Nick, (she graduated last year), a Mechanical Engineer, off to work for the Government (torpedo something?)

And finally, Oli, (the great grandchild!) who graduated from Kindergarten,

Now the parties begin..........Sam's is today.  We are saving our appetites!!!!!!!!!!

CCEE1923 High School Subject

Lois is our hostess for the month of June.  She says:

"This is the 60th anniversary of my graduation from high school - June 9, 1959.  so our challenge this week is to make a card depicting your favorite subject in school.

I LOVED geometry.  This card uses geometric shapes in yellow, with a mustard saying, on cream cardstock.  I think it's kind of interesting that I married a high school Mathematics teacher (but we do NO geometry in this household!), and one of our sons was a Math major in college!
