CCEE1516 A Favorite Book for Inspiration

Our challenge today is an inspiration, as this is National Librarian Day.  We are to use a book (children's or adult's) on which to base our cards.  Here's mine:

One of my favorites is "The Time Traveler's Wife".  I thought this beautiful large image was perfect for portraying beauty, travel, and pensiveness (as she wonders where Henry is, and what year it may happen to be!).

The color didn't show up well, but it's in lavender and purple.  I added some die cut poppies and a ribbon to finish it off.

Please join us, and let us know your favorite book too!

it is funny that you don't think about a book until they make a movie, I heard that this one is good, great job with the time travel theme.

I must admit I am not familiar with this book, but your card certainly says a lot about it. Love that image, Anne!

Love this image, Anne. You have a great collection of stamps without a doubt.

What a cool look, Anne -- I like the frame. And I too loved The Time Traveler's Wife. I had seen the movie first and decided to read the book. I'm so glad I did -- so much more in the book!!!

I have this stamp but have never been able to use it effectively. What a stunning job you have done with it here, Anne! The frilly frame and die cut flowers are perfect with it!

Great take on your inspiration book, Anne. There is indeed a real wistful, nostalgic feel to this - and it has one of your gorgeous bows too :D.

I can see your colors....so they must be clear to everyone....lol.....I read that book a long time ago....loved it......have mostly switched to mystery/thriller/detective genre now......and yep....I too have read all of John Sanford's books.......I picked that one cuz the title made it easy to inspire a card.......a bit of a cheat I guess????
