Pictures from the NH Convention
Julia Aston (artystamper) and I spent the weekend in Manchester NH at the CK Scrapbook Convention as demos for Rubbernecker stamps. We spent Friday on our feet from 9 to 6, and we were really tired.
I was demoing The Beach, a Kittie Kit, making samples and chatting with those who were stampers and scrappers as well. I really enjoyed meeting so many wonderful and creative women (and a few men too!). This is my stamping area..pic taken by Julia.
Here is Julia, and this time I took the picture. She was demonstrating what could be done with sponging and masking beautiful sets of baskets and vases full of flowers. On Saturday, we worked from 9 to 5, and by the end of the convention, we were EXHAUSTED. We had a wonderful time, but we were glad to go home to our own beds, and have our feet up!
Dave, the Rubbernecker stamps owner, was delighted to tell us we were responsible for breaking all the previous numbers of sales by almost DOUBLE. I guess we did well for him. We're doing it again in June in Springfield MA. I think we're just gluttons for punishment!! Thanks Julia for a great weekend, my friend!!
Happy Birthday in Blue
Here's a card I made as a catch-up.......I was away Thursday until last night. Then Mom and I went to her house to pack up more stuff, and so I didn't get to QFTD and Speedy's Challenge until now.
I cased Holly's card, keeping the dog theme, and for Speedy, the challenge was to use mostly blue.
I couldn't find a great match of ink for the paper, so I added some RED! That fixes everything! Have a fun day. I'm off to watch the RED Sox.

CCEE1217 Scallops, flowers, buttons, and a CHF!
Here's a card for the CCEE challenge this week. Cindy Haffner is our hostess, and this time she's asked us to use scallops, flowers, and buttons on our cards.
The scallops are the clouds, done with a template and sponge. The flowers have teeny tiny button brads in their centers. I added a two colored pink snail die cut. I think he's having fun with the garden all to himself!
Please join us, and link your card HERE. Be sure to join us again next week!!
For the Ways To Use It Challenge, I made this card from a CHF digi, Harbour Scene. Our task was to make a monochromatic card. Of course, for a masculine card I think of BLUE, every time.
This will be my last post until next Monday. I'm off to the Manchester NH Scrapbook and Stamp Show with my sweet friend Julia (artystamper), where we'll be working a booth. Have a great rest of the week.

A Get Well Wish
Mom and I waited until 9 this morning to head off for Lynn. We had a chance to make a card for the sketch challenge, but that's all.
we got caught in the Rte. 128 traffic that was the result of an accident, but still got there only 4 minutes late to meet the Realtor for an appraisal. He was very nice, and loved her house. wait until he sees it without all the stuff in it, and CLEAN!! Brought more STUFF home, so we are getting there. Seeya later.

TrainTalk (tutorial with Train Talk below) and CHF for the Tea Party!
What an awful start to my day!! I lost my Watermark. Then I went to find it, and couldn't even get into cookies!
The good news, my boss, Amanda, sent another one to me, and I am good to go. Also, the tutorial I did (my first) loaded, even though Blogger is weird these days. In addition, the rain has stopped, and my three day headache is gone! WOO-HOO!
Have a good one. Mine is looking up at last!
Now, since things were going well, I decided to take a stab at the MMTPT challenge!
The challenge involved Tattoos, of all things. This card is a fashion statement for those of you who have one. Not for me. Here you see a thigh with a fancy flourish tattoo, and to show it off, some fishnet hosiery!! (Might as well see it, right?)
Now I am really done. Don't forget to take a look at the tutorial.

Here is a sample of the new Ornaments Vines Background set (SL3174). I stamped it in RED Versafine ink on white cardstock. I punched the bottom layer, added some flowers and a brad, and tied a black ribbon around it. The sentiment is a digital from CHF (Here's Wishing...) which I cut out with a nestie, and backed with a RED one. Doesn't the background look fabulous???
This next card was done in only gray and white. The background is Fishnet (3200), stamped in black on white cardstock. The image is a digital from CHF called "Harbour Scene". The only addition is a gray and white striped ribbon, tied with a magenta piece of twine. I love combining the theme of bg and image!!

CHF Sneak Peek Day 4!
Welcome to another Sneak Peek for Cornish Heritage Farms!
This card uses the rubber stamp set called Haute Couture. I sponged the cardstock with purple and magenta, stamping the Eiffel Tower and the word "Paris" repeatedly in black and magenta ink. The top layer is backed with magenta cardstock, and tied with purple/white twine. On the top of the panel is the single word "wishing" from CHF digital words, Here's Wishing... Lastly, I added a French postage stamp.
Please join me and the Design Team tomorrow for the Blog Hop!

CHF Sneak Peek Day 3
Welcome to Day 3 of sneak peeks for Cornish Heritage Farms!
The Ornaments Vines BG (SL3174) is done in Versamark on a lavender cardstock, and I used a chalk to highlight the beautiful flowers and vines. I wrapped a ribbon in the same lavender, and added a CHF digital stamp (Village Snow Scene) colored in purple pencil, on dimensionals. There are two thin borders of black and lavender surrounding the scene, and it's popped up. A bow completes the card.

Day 2 CHF sneak peeks
Welcome to the second day of sneak peeks for Cornish Heritage Farms.
My card today uses a new rubber stamp background called Fishnet (3200). I've combined it with two digital stamps (also from CHF), Large Conch Shell, and Shell 1. I used a medium blue cardstock for the card. The Fishnet bg is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, on a blue cardstock, and the digital stamps are painted and cut out. I added punched branches, pearls, and a ribbon to complete it.

Cornish Heritage Farms Sneak Peek
Welcome to the first day of CHF sneak peeks!
Here's a look at one of the brand new rubber background stamps, called Ornaments Vines (SL3174). I have paired it with a digital stamp called Asian 13.
The colors of card stock are black, RED, and white. The background is stamped in onyx black Versafine ink, and the flourish is from Sizzix. I mounted the digital image on black, white, and RED, and popped it up on dimensionals. Three brads in the upper corner complete my card.

For the IC, Speedy Fox and Friends, and a sneak peek of the new set "Train Talk" from MFP - a Heinrich Co.
There will be a Blog Hop here on Tuesday to introduce the four new sets. I hope you will come and take a look.
Busy weekend........Grandson Jake is here. We are about to go off to Barnes and Noble. He has a gift card that is burning a hole in his pocket from his Bar Mitzvah. It's school vacation, and he was here right after school yesterday for a little vacation. When he goes, Erin comes for the week. She has missed her turn, so gets to stay longer. I will be scarce for a while, but rest assured we are having fun!

For Queen Charlene!
How fabulous to discover one of my favorite stampers is Queen For The Day! Charlene (LilLuvsStampin") has been a cyber friend since I began stamping on SCS. We've been on DT's together, and were the original DARE girls! Congratulations, my sweet friend!
This card is also for the F4A challenge, and is a sneak peek of MFP's new set "Daffodil Greetings". It will be shown in its entirety on Tuesday when the Blog Hop is here. Be sure to join me and the rest of the DT.
Busy day. Mom gets a hairdo, DH and I get to see the eye Dr., then grandson Jake comes for a mini-vacation. See you later.

Sneaky Puppy (CCEE below)
Here is a sneak peek of Fabulous Dogs, that will be released next Tuesday in a Blog Hop for Mark's Finest Papers - a Heinrich Co. Please join me here!
This card is for the Ways To Use It challenge - RUFFLES. I had to get out the old needle and thread and some pretty RED seam binding to make this puppy really cute. Hope you like him!
Quiet day today.........a dump run, maybe get some new sneakers. I really need them. See you tomorrow, and don't forget to take a look at the CCEE challenge below.
CCEE1215 Three Embellishments
Here we are on Thursday again, and time for another CCEE challenge. Cindy Haffner is this month's hostess, and her directive was to use 3 embellishments.
I used my new nestie of the butterfly. The embellishments are gems, flower, and ribbon.
The ribbon is stamped in brown with a SU sentiment, the flower is punched and a brad is added, plus punched leaves from MS. Before leaving the nestie, I added brown stenciling, and then the brown gems.
Please join us, adding your card to Mr. Linky HERE, and be sure to look at the cards made by the DT. See you next week!

Cards for Monday Morning
This white on white card is for the Technique Lover's Challenge, to use Faux Dry Embossing.
The faux part is the punched hearts in the bg, glued down by running through my Xyron (which I haven't used in forevah!) The rest is cb'd with nesties and sizzix, and some punched flowers layered and attached with a brad.
At the last minute I decided to add a ribbon and bow, and I think now it looks finished.
The other challenge today was Clean And Simple. I had to use some RED, in the stamp, the twine, and the flower centers. I had out the Sizzix leaves and mat pack, so I added the flowers and leaves. The theme today was scallops, so that determined the punches at the bottom, for the panel and flowers.
We had a fab Easter yesterday at DD's. Food was delish, but the best part was that we sat at the table long after we finished eating, just to talk. How lucky we are to enjoy each other (all 12 of us!!). Hope your Easter was wonderful too!

CCEE1214 Embossing Folder for Easter
Cindy Haffner is our hostess for this month. She chose "Embossing Folder" as our theme for this week.
Because Easter is so near, here's a card with Easter Lilies from Mark's Finest Papers - A Heinrich Co.
The EF I used is D'Vine Swirls. The lilies are watercolored in Pretty in Pink and Celery, and the bg stamping is in Versafine black. I added some die cut filigrees from Sizzix, and a Nestie. Finished it off with brads and pearls to go with the white organdy ribbon - I hope you like it.
Please join us again this week by linking your card to our blog HERE. and play with us every Thursday for another fun challenge.

Sketch Challenge
Today the sketch challenge made me think of embossed trees.
I haven't used eyelets in forevah, so today was the day for those too. I found a ribbon that was close to the color of the kraft layer, and I'm not really sure they take away from the masculinity of this card, but that's what I ended up with.
What really took the longest was not the choosing of the paper, but cutting the holes for the eyelets. I found where I had put my long abandoned eyelet setter, and hammered away. I should have thought to use a punch first, before adhering all the layers together. I guess "too soon old, too late smart" applies here. LOL!
Have a great day. Hope to catch up with you tomorrow.

Spotlight on a Ladybug
Today I combined two challenges, the TLC and the CAS.
This was really fast and easy. The cuttlebug did all the work!
The faux pressed flowers have black brads in the center, and the spotlighted ladybug is done with a RED marker, of course. Just had to get some RED in there on a rainy and dark morning.
I just happened to have some ribbon that tied *sorry* it all together. Hope you like it.
That's it for today. Have a good one.
