Today, the TLC challenge is to make a card using the Magical Marquee Technique. I had never seen this before, and I will probably never do this again!! I spent more than 2 hours trying to get the pieces to fit. The directions were for a 5X5 card, and I wanted to make an A2. I couldn't figure out how this was put together, then I watched Jan Tink's video again, and saw what I had overlooked.
I like the results. I hope you do too. This one and only card will go to my Mom who will really appreciate what I went through to make it!! Have a great day!!

Anne WOW it turned out GORGEOUS, yes two hours is a long time but it was soooo worth it!!!! I LOVE the white and this design is awesome!!
It just looked tricky to me too Anne!! I think I'll NOT try it tonight!!! LOL! but you sure pulled it off with this beauty! I love the white - your pretty flowers and the stem inside! Mum will LOVE this for sure!!
Well, it's a beauty, Anne, but I chickened out and after one look, I knew my brain would never figure that out...especially on a Monday morning!
Oh my, Anne...this is FABULOUS!!!! I LOVE the white on white and what a super cool technique!!!! Your attention to details on this is amazing!!! Your Mom is going to love this!!!!
DEAREST ANNE, We had this at our monthly stamp group... and the gal that taught it is the worse teacher in the world... we all told her that we loved the card... but that we would never ask her to teach again... It was a night mare... It is a difficult card to teach and create... not fun to me... at all..
But YOURS... wow it turned out FANTASTIC.... I love the all white too.. you know I love that all white stuff... just is so fantastic... love the flowers that you did on the CB leaves... and the dotted swiss... yikes my favorites in action.. love it all..
Sorry that you had such a frustrating time... but I am sure your Mom will love it... and not just because you are her daughter... it is a GREAT CARD... in all ways... you should be proud of it..
well at least you TRIED it! and look how gorgeous this turned out!
