The Simple Things

I was really reminded about enjoying the simple things in life this morning when I got a phone call from my daughter. She was on her way to work, so we had about ten minutes to catch up. I am not a person who likes to talk on the telephone, but I sure love to hear from my kids. Their lives are so busy.......we don't get together as much as we used to, so a conversation one on one is fabulous!!
My card for the Color Challenge today is not one of my best efforts. I just noticed the small punching got stuck a little. I wanted to do a splash of pumpkin on one of the words, and forgot to do it. I hope this is not an indication of how my day is going to go.
Had a beauty of a migraine last night......guess we are in for the rain a lot of you have been getting. Our garden has exploded into lovely color, and some rain would be welcome (just not a week of it!)
I feel like I'm back into the life I left before our vacation....and I'm going to try to follow the simple life for the summer. Hugs to you all.

Considering there's no red on this it's still a beauty - LOL. No. Really. It's a beauty.

You are "back to the life BEFORE vacation". Isn't that why you came back?????? To be in this life???? Vacation is fantasy time, relaxing time, getting away from it all time. And when you come back.... it's the same old crap! But it feels good!

I'm glad you're back anyway.

Hugs,

We all can use such wise reminders as this one, Anne. I love your use of the fruit bg and think you did a great job with today's colors. I hope that dastardly migraine is gone, too! Take care, friend.

Hi Anne, well I love your card even if there's no RED! That'll be the migraine from yesterday to blame, I'm the same and suffer with them and for a few days after, things are usually a little off, spatial awareness etc :D. The sentiment is a good one and one that I agree with entirely. Glad you had a good vacation, sounded like a lot of fun. Back to the grind but it's always lovely to come home. Hugs, Chris

yes, today people are so busy with work and live their life that we often do not have enough time for family and friends.
i often speak to my mom only few minutes after work and i'm always in hurry to catch all tasks...
and i sometimes regret i couldn't find time. my mom is about 60 and i know that one day i'll never speak or meet her. i have to use these days because one day will be too late... sad but true...
