Our CCEE teammate, Charlene Merrick (aka LilLuvsStampin) passed away after a battle with liver and brain cancer. She was the sweetest woman ...... gentle, kind, and full of good humor. We will miss her terribly. Julia Aston and I were to get together with her two summers ago when she was in our area, but the night before she was rushed to the hospital, and had her gall bladder removed. She went home to recuperate. We kept in touch by internet, and when she was diagnosed with cancer, we sent her cards of cheer every week. I cased a card of hers to send to her family to let them know how much I personally cared about her.
The only blessing is that she is now at peace and the pain and suffering she was enduring is done. Remembering you with love, dear friend.

CCEE1401 Teddy Bear's Picnic
Our hostess for the month of January is Sabrina Friel.
Here is her challenge:
A party with a twist to celebrate the New Year. Bring your teddy bear along, but you must include something old and something new, and tell us what they are.
My designer paper from Creative imaginations is old, and my distress markers are new.
I love this little person from Whipper Snapper stamps, and by adding a bow, the toddler becomes a girl.
Please feel free to join us, and link your card HERE, so we can enjoy it too.

CHF43 Winter
Steph is our hostess for the very last day of the year. She challenged us to make a Winter themed card.
I used a digi stamp from CHF called "Winter Chapel" (#2344), and a sentiment from the stamp set Night Before Christmas (colored with two markers).
Here is what my card looks like when it's closed. I wanted you to see both.
I hope you have enjoyed what the Design Team at Cornish Heritage Farms has shown you this year. I also hope you have been stamping right along with us, and have shopped on occasion at the store.
I wish you a Happy New Year, and the best of everything for 2014.

Monday Challenges
Grandson John hit the hot tub bright and early this morning. Very cold, but not to kids, I guess. Mom and I made two cards, one for the Clean and Simple, and one for Technique (shaker). Now, I'm going to show you both of them, but please forget them soon, as one or both of them may be off to you in the near future.
This is a simple case of Jen's card with a row of little bunny bottoms, which I did in white emboss, and added a simple knotted ribbon and a teeny cotton ball.
Here is the shaker card, which is filled with green and gold glass beads. I haven't made a shaker in a long time, and had forgotten how extremely messy they can be .......like all over the room.
Now remember what I said ......... look, and then forget!!

Blue Music
This card was made for two challenges, the queen For The Day, and Free4All. I used Elvis double-sided paper, and the layout from our Queen, Dara. Not making too many cards lately, what with the Holidays, and our grandson John staying with us. Thanks for looking.

Couple of new cards
It's been a busy week with Dr. and Dentist apppts, so here I am a little late posting a few cards I just finished.
This went to the girls in my Dentist's office. I saw them both Monday and Tuesday. They are always so cheerful!
The Gibson girl on the front is popped up, and I added some flourish leaves and a lacy background, as well as a popped poinsettia. I thought they might enjoy a shaped card, rather than a regular rectangular one.
This card was made with a brand new stamp set I got from my UPS guy yesterday. The set is one I thought about for a long time, and when the price was reduced, I couldn't resist.
The layout is the sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers today. the background is embossed, and so is the RED strip. I painted the image, splattered it with some caramel color ink, and layered it popped up on the green and white.
I hope you like these cards. Thanks for visiting my blog.

In beauty green will always grow Through summer sun and winter snow.

Thomas Kinkade Week
This week the Thomas Kinkade image from Cornish Heritage Farms is done all in sepia. The title of this one is "The Village Lighthouse". His coloring of it is fabulous, but since I am not HE, I took the easier way out.
Take a look at all the fabulous Kinkade stamps at Cornish Heritage Farms yourself, and see how gorgeous they really are!

CCEE1349 A Stocking
Frances is our Hostess for the month of December (which will only be two weeks of challenges).
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.'
So Frances told us to include a stocking. Here is my card for the challenge:
I love this little image from A Day For Daisies.
Please join us, linking your card to our blog HERE. See you next week for our last challenge of 2013.

Hoopy Birthday!
Some days silly takes me over! Mom and I were looking at Pinterest this morning, and came across this bird. We giggled, then laughed. I just had to print it out, and use it for the sketch challenge at SCS today. I hope it tickles yur fancy too!

CHF41 Inspired By Santa
"December 4th is Santas' List Day - are you on the "Nice" list or the Naughty List?? Create a card or project that is inspired by Santa." This is the challenge given to us by our hostess, Frances. I used this cute image from Cornish Heritage Farms of the three kittens wearing Santa Hats.
There is a checkerboard bg, and a CHF sentiment with the ribbon. I hope you will want to join us, linking your card to our blog HERE. Thanks for looking!

On To Christmas!
My cards are all ready to go on Monday. I stamped them all this morning. No more Christmas cards to make, just a few tags for presents for the grands. I ordered the last of their items from their wish lists. Phew.
In the meantime, here are a few cards that didn't get posted.
this one was for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS. I saw a beautiful gilded and white bowl, thus this card.
Here is a step card made with die cuts. I did add some light blue sponging to give it some definition. I think it came out really well, and it even fit in a regular envelope.
This Get Well card is made with two digital images from Cornish Heritage Farms. I have been on their Design Team all year, and have scads of their wonderful designs. I went with a monochromatic card, and it will go out to a guy, don't you think?
And last, but certainly not least, I made this pop-up card with an ornament and flakes. It's in its envelope, and on the way to friends for Christmas.
Thanks for looking.

CCEE1348 Sketch
Here is the sketch Cindy gave us for this challenge.
......................and here is the card I made for it:
I used some wonderful shades of purple and olive green. The lilac is out of the box....a technique I love to do. The papers are just scraps from my file, but I thought they matched really well.
We'd love to have you use this fun and easy sketch from Cindy.
Please join us, and link your sketch HERE.
See you next week.

CCEE1347 Embossing and Glitter
Cindy's challenge this week is to use Embossing (dry or wet) and Glitter.
I dry embossed the snowflakes, and used glitter glue on the snow and in the center of the flake. I think this makes a really cute Christmas card.
Please join us, linking your card HERE, and come back next week for another fun challenge.

CHF40 Thanksgiving
Our hostess for today, Steph, challenged us to make a Thanksgiving card, since it's only a week away.
This is the front of the card I made, using a Cornish Heritage Farms digi stamp. I colored it with markers and colored pencils, then fussy cut it out. It's popped up on dimensionals.
The real treat is the inside..............
.......where I popped up a sign post with labels for the holiday, and added a CHF sentiment digi as well.
I hope you will feel free to join us, linking your card HERE. Come back again next week for another challenge!

CCEE1346 Stitches
This week, Cindy challenged us to use stitches. Since she didn't say REAL or FAUX, I went with the latter. I thought my card was busy enough without taking out my sewing machine.....although it really is faster in the long run!!
I hope you like my little Whipper snapper bee and flowers!
Please join us HERE, linking your card, and checking in with the DT!

Thomas Kinkade Week at CHF
The Thomas Kinkade image from Cornish Heritage Farms I have featured this week is called "Streams of Living Waters". I brayered the stamp with Wasabi green ink, added a sentiment and a strip of ribbon.
The image is so beautiful, I really didn't want to accent anything else.
Please go and look at Cornish Heritage Farms and see all the wonderful treats by Thomas Kinkade.
See you next week.

CCEE1345 Ribbon and Lace
Our hostess for the month of November is Cindy Haffner. Her first challenge is to use ribbon and lace.
You can see that all I did was thread some black ribbon through the holes in the ecru lace. I love the way it looks with a couple of bows.
Please join us, linking your card HERE, and be sure to join us again next week for another challenge from Cindy.
