My beautiful granddaughter, Erin, is sixteen today!! When she was born we had two grandsons, and although grandsons are fabulous, we saw this awesome baby girl, and went crazy!!
Here are some pictures of her that were taken over the weekend. She danced on Sunday, and the boyfriend went to encourage her to do well. I guess it worked!!
Here's our girl in her new dress with her trophies!
She won one first and three seconds out of four dances! WOW!
Below:
Here she is with her boyfriend, Bill. I guess now they call it a "relationship" (but what do I know???)
Isn't he cute? He's a grade ahead of her, a Junior, and they will be going to the Junior Prom on Saturday. We met Bill last week at Erin's party for her Confirmation (he sat with me in church), and he is just the sweetest guy.
Here is Erin with her mama, our daughter Amy. Can you tell how proud of Erin she is??? These dance competitions have given Erin a lot of confidence, and they get to spend some time together, just the girls. Sometimes Erin's two brothers and Dad attend, but the boys get antsy with all the waiting around!
And here at last is the birthday girl, at home, celebrating with her cake. Happy Birthday Erin!!! MWAH!

CCEE1317 In The Kitchen
Kathy Bradley, for her last theme as hostess for April, chose In The Kitchen.
The challenge was: make a card using food, appliances, a whole kitchen scene, utensils - anything that can be found in the kitchen.
Of course I used RED. This cute pastry chef image reminds me so much of my darling granddaughter, Erin, who turns 16 next week. She is the pastry baker in the family, and everything she makes is so yummy! This will go to her with a check in it.
Be sure to join us, linking your card to our blog HERE. Check out the rest of the members of the team while you are there. See you next week!

CHF25 - Spring!
Our hostess this week is Cindy, who chose the theme - SPRING!
I made this card with a digi from Cornish Heritage Farms called "Floppy Bunny", and the sentiment came from the digi section of CHF too.
I sponged a doily in pink, painted my bunny, which I cut out and popped, and did the same with the words.
Please join us. You just might win some fabulous images! Be sure to link your card HERE.

Sunday
Here's the card I made this morning in honor of Miss Ro (Robin) who is our Featured Stamper on SCS. I changed her seahorse to a flower, and used my Fired Brick ink.
This is short and sweet......off to son Paul's for the double header Red Sox game, snacks, dinner, and cards.
Hope you are enjoying Spring wherever you are. It's finally here!

Saturday Morning Inspiration
Our Inspiration Challenge today comes from a site called "My Deco". I chose this beautiful wallpaper
for my background, and added three contrasting Memory Box Poppies in
soft colors. I finished it off with a white bow. I hope you like it!
We had a wonderful week with two of our grands........Jake (13), and John (12) are cousins, and they enjoy all the same things. John will eat anything, Jake is picky, but we survived mealtimes!!
They have the upstairs bedroom to themselves (32 feet long!!), and really love it for playing, reading, and watching movies. The time flew by, and we loved havaing them, but when the house was ours again last night, we all breathed easier.
Parenting is definitely for the YOUNG......and we sure are NOT!! Have a wonderful weekend, my friends.

Butterfly Garland
The Inspiration Challenge today at SCS goes to Patina. It's a store that has funky and fun objects for the home.
On the right is the butterfly garland that inspired my card for this morning - all punches in the three colors. Sure makes me think of Spring (if it ever comes).
Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Peach and Lace
Here is the card I made for our challenge today at SCS. The website (in Chinese) had such beautiful Victorian things! I chose for inspiration a beautiful lace and peach bag.
The image is from Hampton Arts, colored with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Spun Sugar colors. I added a rust flourish, lace and ribbon from MFP, and a sprig of little peach flowers. Hope you like it.
Happy Easter tomorrow. We are off to DD's to join the rest of the family. I hope you are spending the day with family and friends too.

CHF23 Pattern Paper
Our hostess at Cornish Heritage Farms this week is Steph. She has challenged us to create our own patterned paper with CHF stamps.
I used Ornamental Beauty (LL6018) in Spanish Moss, and Haute Couture (5006) in Celery.
The filigree die cut is on top of the cream bg, and the flower is layered with a big pearl on top. I punched out some flowers in cream, and shaped them with a stylus, then added stickles.
Please join us, linking your card HERE. You just might win some images from us! Come back again next week.
