CHF14 Trees!

Our Hostess Kristine Reynolds challenged us to make a card with trees............Fall trees, Christmas trees, snowy trees, etc.

I embossed this tree using only part of the folder.  With a dark green background, and white cardstock, I added a RED bow, and sentiments (NEW! from Night Before Christmas - CHF) in green and RED.

If you would like to play along with us of course we would love to have you! AND - if you do, you could win a $10 Gift Certificate and a Winner's Badge to put on your Blog!

To play create a card using CHF images. You can use either CHF digi or rubber stamps to create a card or project.... anything you like as long as the stamps are Cornish Heritage Farms. (Yes, they can be older stamps.)

Once you have created your card/project come here and place a comment with a link to your card/project to this post so that we can see what you created. If you upload your card/project to SCS don't forget to include the keyword CHF14. We can't wait to see what you create! Good luck, and see you in two weeks!

A Few Posts

This is the card I made today for the Inspiration Challenge.  The site Stef picked had wonderful RED bowls.  I used the solid as the bg for my new Tim Holtz reindeer die cut, and the trees which I haven't used before either.  I added some snowflakes with pearls and a ribbon.  Kinda okay I think.
This card I made for Gabby, our Queen For The Day yesterday.  I cased a Halloween card she made, and used the same layout, but changed the theme, as I'm sure I didn't need to tell you.

Today my two youngest grandsons, Tommy and John, are arriving.  They are at a Boy Scout overnight, and have an empty house, since my DD, DGD, and DS-in-law are away.  What a treat to have these boys.......11, and 12, but still little boys.  They are excited to come because they know that I will craft with them.

Have a great day, wherever you are.

Falling Snowflakes

The challenges today were......use newsprint RED, white, and black, and Gabby (gabalot) is Queen for the day.  I cased a wonderful card of hers called "The Colors of Fall", using her layout, but changing the colors and theme.  I loved having my favorite color combo chosen today!!!

The sentiment is from Rubbernecker Stamps:

209-07 Winter Holiday #4.

I'm off to the chiropractor again at noon today.  My neck is still not good, and I'm throwing the rest of myself off by holding it wrong.  A few more trips and I'll be right as rain again.

CCEE1246 Fall/Thanksgiving

Welcome back to another CCEE challenge.  This week Vicky has chosen  a Fall or Harvest theme.

My images are from new rubber sets at Cornish Heritage Farms, and the set is called Fall Harvest.

Please join us, and link your card HERE, and remember we have a new challenge every Thursday!

Spirit Of Love

One of the neatest things is being able to cut sentiments apart to use just what fits!  I used Rubbernecker 508- Garden Phrase Set, and cut only Spirit of Love to ink up in RED.

This card is for the combined challenges at SCS this morning - the Technique Lover's Challenge (trees), and the Clean And Simple (a sketch with four thingies hanging down.  I flipped the sketch, obviously)

Another Christmas card for my stash.  Thannks for visiting me again!

CHF Night Before Christmas

Here's the card I made this morning, using one of the beautiful sentiments from CHF.  It's in a set called "Night Before Christmas".  Be sure to check out Cornish Heritage Farms for wonderful new rubber stamps!!

The paper I used in addition to the layered white (embossed with a winter motif folder) is from Momenta, and is called The Story Of Us.  It's shiny and textural, and I've been hoarding it long enough!

The snow is gone, and the sun is out.  We're expecting a few days in excess of 60 degrees.  Guess Fall isn't over yet!

Enjoy your weekend.  Hugs to you all.

A Bee For Angie!

I made this card for Angella Crockett, the QFTD at SCS.  Her cards are always beautiful, and so well laid out.  I changed a few things, but essentially it's very like hers.  I hope she likes it, and that you do too.

I used the following Rubbernecker sets:

sentiment: 508 garden Phrase Set
bee: 512 Create a Garden Set 1

The two challenges today are combined in this card.  I love to do that.

Have a fabulous day!!

CCEE1245 Portion of EF

Our Hostess, Vicky Gould, challenged us to use only a portion of an embossing folder.

I used half of the snowflake ef.  Additionally, I embossed a little snowguy.

Please join us again this week, linking your card HERE.

See you next week!

Snowman

What a perfect day for a snowman.  We are awaiting snow....and I have to say we are not looking forward to it!

Winter comes too soon, and Fall doesn't last long enough.

Friday is the day for the closing on Mom's house, and DD is the attorney handling it.  She will have to drive an hour and a half to get to the registry for us.  We would like the snow to hold off, but she is intrepid......that won't bother her a bit!  How nice to have her do this for us, so we can sit and wait for the check to arrive!!

Hope you are safe and sound, and enjoying your day!  Thanks for visiting.

CHF13 Thomas Kincade

Our challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms is presented by Dawn Bennett.  She asked us to make a card using a stamp by Thomas Kincade.

I used  "Graceland Christmas" (TK124) for my card. The sentiment  comes from the new set "Night Before Christmas".  The image is stamped in Olive, and all I added was a pair of flowers.

CCEE1244 Faux Pressed Flowers

Vicky Gould is our hostess for the month of November.  For her first challenge, she requested Faux Pressed Flowers.

I punched out flowers to match the dp, then after I added the dp at the bottom, I ran it through the cb, using the lattice folder.  The sentiment comes from Rubbernecker Stamps (600 Phrase Set - Best Wishes), which I stamped in Lagoon and sponged.  It's mounted on a circle, and added to ribbon.

We hope you will join us, linking  your card HERE, and that you will check in with us again next (and every) Thursday!!

A Two-Fer on Monday

Here's the card I made for the Technique Lover's Challenge today..........the theme was WOVEN RIBBON.

Of course I chose to use RED, and since I am on to making Christmas cards, the olive background was a MUST.

I love this adorable snowman holding the bird.  If you click on the card, you can see the bg embossing of the Holiday EF.
Here's the collage card I made for the Clean and Simple Challenge today at SCS.

The images are all from Rubbernecker Stamps:

500 - Garden Phrase Set
615 - Grunge BG - Paint Splattered Screen
645-01 - Collage Floral Set 1
534-03 - Music, Time, Bikes - Watch Set 3
644-01 - Collage Pattern BG 1

I used the wonderful colors of Autumn - marigold, pumpkin, rust, and thyme.

Have a safe day!

There are new stamps (both digi and rubber) at CHF!  This card was  made with one of each:

It's a case of a card made by Janine at SCS (nines) who is our Featured Stamper today.

Be sure to check out the new stuff at CHF HERE!!

I'll Have a Pink Christmas

No blue Christmas for me!!

I really like Christmas cards in non-traditional colors, like PINK and BROWN.
I had a visit from a friend yesterday, and we were talking about how we would like to be remembered.  She said she wanted to be remembered as "admirable".  Not bad.  I had a tough time with this idea, but I guess "crazily spontaneous" would fit.  No one EVER knows what to expect of me (and that's the way I like it!).  Add an idea for yourself if you comment today.

CCEE1243 Challenge - Tag

Our hostess Brenda (Benzi) made her last October Challenge - a card or project with a tag.

I made a tag out of black cs, punching the end with a web.  The tag has ribbons through the hole, and the ghost (Sizzix) holds a spider on a single web.

Please join us every Thursday, linking your card HERE.

Merry Snowman

WOW.  The sketch today was pretty involved.  Mom and I had to decide whether we wanted to do this or go food shopping.  We really didn't want to go, so here is our entry for today.

We like the way it came out, but will probably not do this design again!!

Had a SUPER day yesterday with Uncle and Cousin.  He was celebrating his 82nd birthday, and Julie came up from AZ to be with him.  We gabbed for four hours, slipped in a little lunch and cake, and sang to him in our fashion.

Enjoy your day.  Thanks for joining me here.

CHF12 Challenge

Today our hostess is Steph Ackerman.  She has challenged us to make a Fall card, or one using Halloween colors.

Not only did I use the colors, but went with the theme as well.

The Cornish Heritage Farms image is:

Monday Challenges

We went to visit our grandson Nate at college yesterday.  We took him to brunch, saw his dorm and room (complete with asleep roommate Eddie!), messy of course (the room, that is), and had a wonderful time with him.  I guess that visit prompted this card today.  It would be perfect for him.

Then, in the afternoon, we camped out in front of the TV to watch football (Pat's won, but it wasn't pretty), then baseball (got tired and found out the Giants kept the NLCS alive this AM).

That's all we did.  We are a bunch of boring, boring people! (But it worked for us!) We did have snacks and wine, so it wasn't a total loss.

Thanks for checking in today.

NEW from Cornish Heritage Farms!

CHF has just come out with some wonderful new red rubber stamps!  One of them is a grouping of fun Christmas images and sentiments.  Check them out HERE!

This is a very simple shaped card that was made in honor of Claudia (cjzim), who is our Queen for the Day at SCS.

I still have that migraine, so that's all from me.......I was able to just do so much and no more. Seeya.

CCEE1242 Challenge

Brenda (Benzi), our hostess for this month, LOVES snowmen.  Her challenge to us this week is to make a winter or Christmas card, being sure to use a snowman.

I happen to love non-traditional Christmas colors........ and especially like blue (and RED, of course).  I really think the blue goes with snow, snowguys, and flakes.  I have even been known to make a RED gingham snow person a time or two!

Anyway, this is an offer to have you join us in the challenge this week, remembering to let us see your creation by linking it to our Blog here.  See you again next Thursday!
