Enjoy Your Day

Mom and I made a generic card this morning using the challenge on SCS to stencil.  That's something we haven't done in a VERY long time!  We used a negative of a die cut, sponged, and added the butterfly from MFP's "I'd Pick You".

The rain is over, but the wind still howls.  Guess we're in for the day.  I gather we will be spending MORE time in the craft room!  Have a good one too.

Sneak Peek- PussyWillows

There will be a BLOG HOP here next week on Tuesday through Thursday.  New releases will be featured.  Be sure to come!  This is one of the new sets, and I think you're gonna love them!

Rain, raiin all day, but better than SNOW!!  Have a good one!

Sneak Peek of New Pines and Wild Santa

My card for the CC today uses the new set, New Pines, that will be released next week by Mark's Finest Papers - A Heinrich Co.  I needed one extra card for a friend who lost her husband of 50 years last month.  Inside it says "Peace".  I think that says it all.

The teapot challenge today involved a Santa teapot with Leopard trim on his suit.  I went one better, and gave him whole suit of it!!  This will hold a check for one of the older Grands.  The word Wild came from Big Cats, and the Santa from Snowball?, both MFP.

Thanks for looking.

Birthday Bear and Butterfly - buttons!

Today I combined two challenges, the CAS (twine) and TLC (buttons).  Simple easy card, after a busy weekend.  We saw friends who came here for dinner and cards, and DD and DGD after her Irish Dance competition where she got a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd!!

Edit:  Added a second button card, using MFP's "I'd Pick You Mini Stamp Set".

Have a fun day.  We are off to the Dr. for a checkup this afternoon for Mom, and football again tonight!  I'll catch up with you during the in-betweens!

Kudos!

Today was a aday of casing other stamper's cards.  The tag is a case of Lois (Clownmom), using her card to make a tag.

Below is a case of Wendy (our Queen For The Day), keeping her tree theme, but making a sympathy card.  I hope both of you girls like what I did!!

That's it for me.  Have a fun day!

Lemon Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek of a new set from Mark's Finest Papers - a Heinrich Co.  It's called "Pucker Up", and will be released this month in a Blgo Hop.  It was made for the WT challenge to use the Faux Letterpress technique, which I never do..........I make a terrible mess.

Have a nice day today..enjoy the nice weather while it lasts!

New Year Baby

Christmas cards are done and will go in the mail today. Hooray!!  Mom and I need just a few New Year's cards, and we won't make the mistake of duplicating this one!

It was a lot of work...finding the image on the computer, printing it out in two colors, cutting the baby, markering all the confetti and streamers, using the sketch challenge at SCS,.........just NOT fun!  At least this is done!

We are enjoying some really pleasant weather..in the 60's in November!  Makes me fearful for what the winter is going to bring us later!  Presents are being ordered for the Grands, and are starting to arrive.  So much easier than going shopping, which I HATE!!

Have a great day....hugs to you all.

MFP's Speedy TV Challenge - Favorite Layout

Here's the card I made for Saturday's Speedy TV Challenge........use your favorite layout.  I love simple layouts that show off the image.  This one is a retired set from MFP - A Heinrich Co. called Poppies, Poppies Poppies.  Please join us this week and every week for a fun challenge.

Guy Cards today!

The top card here will go to one of our January birthday men.  It was made for the color challenge, white, kraft, and green.  The blue card is for a twelve year-old boy who just lost his mother to cancer, our destination for the Teapot Challenge.  The boy is named Hunter, and loves anything Harry Potter, hence the glasses and owl.

Waiting for the rain today.......it's dark and dismal.  Guess we'll hunker down and do some serious reading! Have a good day.

CAS and Tags

These were made for the challenges today...all easy to figure out.  Have a great day.

Still a Winter Theme

This is my card for the Featured Stamper at SCS today.  I cased a blue card, but of course I had to make it RED.  Almost done with Christmas cards........which is great, because they will go out the end of this week.

Today is Mom's birthday, and DH said to me "today she's older than old."  I told him I would wait for him some other place.  Actually, he told her she's merely MORE VINTAGE!!  Which she is!

If you missed the family Thanksgiving picture, it's below.  You can see Mom there.  I am not in RED!!!
Have a great day!

Inspired by Baby Bedding.....And a Thanksgiving picture of the family

These colors were part of the "Meadow" collection at Glenna Jean, our inspiration site today.  still making Christmas cards as you can see.

Now for the family:

In the front, DGD Erin.  From L to R around the table,
Mom, Debbie, Tommy, tom, Jay, me, John, Paul, Jake.  Amy is the camera person.

I think you can get a bigger picture by clicking on it.

Black and White for Black Friday!

If it hadn't been for the challenge this morning, I never would have made a black Christmas card.  The white tones it down a little, and of course I had to add some RED.  I love the ornament punch, and since it really only works for this season, I'm trying to get it in as often as I can.

Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving.  We had pie for breakfast.  How cool is that??????  Have a great day all.

Hurry Santa!

Our FS today is Tenia Sanders-Nelson.  Congratulations, t.-, you are so deserving of being honored this week.  Your CAS gallery is fabulous, and your colors are so smart!!

I cased a CAS card in my favorite colors, making one that will easily go to little ones only a year old.  Nothing to hurt fingers or mouths, which everything goes into at this age!!!

Have a great day, everyone! And enjoy, t.!!

Snowflake on lime and blue

The Inspiration Challenge today used a site called Singing Cat Studio, where there was a beautiful selection of one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.  I chose a pendant in these colors, that had a large white flower in the center.  I layered a number of different snowflakes to replace that flower...still working on my Christmas cards.  I hope you like it.  Have a nice day!

RED Barn

Today's challenge at SCS was to use pixels.....hence all the squares on which I stamped the barn from A Trip To Lancaster.  This is a new set from MFP - A Heinrich Co.  It's part of Amish-looking images and sayings...fun!

Nice sunny day today.  DH is gone to meetings, so Mom and I will make our favorite lunch, macaroni and tomatoes, with scads of BUTTER.  So delish.  Hope you're having something today that is comfort food too! See you tomorrow!

Snow in the Forest

The challenge today was to make a card based on "Baby, it's COLD outside!"  I think this looks cold....even though I'm not ready to think of winter.  We are having a bit of Indian Summer, with short sleeve weather!  It will be cold soon enough, and surely for LONG enough!  Have a great day.
