Lois is our hostess this week at the StampinB's.  She asked us to make a one layer card that is NOT white.  I used dark green with white embossing.

This is a sneak peek of a set that will be available from Mark's Finest Papers next week, called "Christmas in the Country".

Please join us by linking your card HERE, and be sure to look art what the team has done.  See you next week.

Later this afternoon I got to making the card for WT343....... a Hot Beverage.  What's better when the days get colder than Hot Cocoa.....with Marshmallow Fluff!

Mom and I are off to her house after my eye appt. this AM at 10.  We'll be back tomorrow, as usual.  Have a great day!

Thanksgiving Flowers

This is my first Thanksgiving card.....and a case of eured99 (Diane) who is our FS today on SCS.  I love the shades of brown for the Fall, and this dried flower/weeds arrangement is one of my  favorite images.

This is a sports day for us, baseball and football. What could be better on a dark and rainy day but to be camped out on the couch with a glass of wine while a pork roast is cooking??!!! Enjoy your Sunday.

Speedy's Friends Challenge

Speedy's Friends Challenge this week is given to us by Colleen, who asked us to make a card or project using Polka Dots.  I made a Halloween card, using MFP's "Broom Rides", and stamping directly on the dp.

Please join the DT HERE, and link your card after you see what the DT has done! I hope you like how I interpreted the challenge this week.

StampinB's Challenge

Our theme this week is from Faith, who challenged us to make a Halloween card.  I used a variety of punches, and a cuttlebug gravestone in addition to the images from MFP's "Get Your Broom On".

Belli Challenge #127

The Creative Belli Challenge this week is to do paper piecing on your card or project.  I pieced the pumpkin the puppy is sitting in and the lid as well.

The idea behind the CBC is to use what you already have in your stash, not to go out and buy something new.  Of course, you can do that when your stash is used up!!

Please join us and link  your card/project so we can enjoy it too, and please join us again in two weeks!

RED for Tuesday

This card was made for the two challenges, CC and MMTPT.  The theme for the Teaparty was Class Reunion, and was to incorporate things from the 50's, like poodle skirts and ponytails.

I had my 50th reunion this year (didn't go......I was close to DH's class two years ahead, and went to HIS!), and what I remember most is wearing my saddle shoes with the RED gum soles and white wool socks.  For you youngsters out there, we REALLY did wear them!!

Thanks for looking.  We are off to Mom's tomorrow, and lots of errands today (including lunch out! YAY!). Have a good one, and hugs to you all.

Monday challenges

Above is the card I made for the TLC challenge, chipboard.  I hate the darned stuff! I have way too much of it, going overboard in buying it, just like with everything else!  I used as little as I could get away with!
Below is the card Mom and I made for the CAS.  I bought the fence stamp from MS at the end of last year for a fab price ($3.00), and finally used it.  The challenge was to paper piece, so the pumpkin, leaf, and bird are.  In a burst of creativity, I remembered I had the stampamajig, which has languished in a drawer.  It was perfect for getting the pumpkin in the right place.  Now to just think of it again!! (Like Pooh, I am of little brain!)  Hope you like the stuff we did today.  Have a good one!

RED for Sue

Our FS, Sue (bensarmom) has a HUGE gallery, filled with beautiful flowers.  I cased one of them with RED roses, but I used Gerber daisies from MFP.

Today is a full day.......two RED Sox games, and also the Patriots.  We won't be budging from the TV at all!  Have a good one. I'll catch up to you later in the week.

Yellow and Black for Speedy's Friends

Speedy's Friends Challenge #74 theme is chosen by Carol - Things With Wings.  I just happen to love the bees in the MFP set, Happy Pansies.  I couldn't resist using them this morning.

My eyes are better, but please don't look too closely at the flourish.  I had problems getting it out of the die cut, and had to use scissors, and it's not a great job.  Have a great day.

Blue Leaves and Flower

This card is for the combined challenge F4A and QFTD.  Liz (lazylizard) is our well known and well deserved queen, and I cased one of her beautiful blue cards.  As per the challenge, this thank you card will go to my eye Dr. who has been amazing.....available to me night and day, and co-managing my problem with my surgeon.

As usual, thanks for your wonderful comments.  Have a fabulous day.

Fall Ribbons

The colors for the challenge today are turquoise, pumpkin and olive.  I used a marker on the image from MFP's Autumn Glory.  Then it was sponged, and you can figure out the rest.

CAS leaves

This card uses the cutest little oak leaf punch.  Just to make sure there were enough leaves, I also CB'd my sizzix little leaves asa well.  I love the ghost from MFP's Boo To You.  Hope you like this HAlloween card.

Today is Mammogram day. Oh JOY!  Also to the eye dr. for a check on whether or not I have an infection.  I just hope to be able to have the second surgery on Wed.  Cross your fingers.  See you later in t he day.

Christmas for Linda, our FS!

Our FS this morning is Linda (morningsun47).  She has a wonderful gallery full of CAS cards.  I changed her pink piggy card to a holiday theme and colors, using MFP's "Snowman Country".

Then, because I liked her gallery so much (I saved a bunch of layouts), I made another, using "Christmas Postage Due", also from MFP.

Today is a gray day, but we'll have fun watching RED Sox and Patriot's games, and having leftover shishkabobs from last night.  No cookin' for me!  Have a terrific day.
