Last sneak peek!

Tomorrow is the Mark's Finest Papers Blog Hop, introducing four new sets.  This is one of them (with a long name!), Black Eyed Susans For Encouragement!!!  Be sure to come and see them all!
This card is for the CAS130 challenge at SCS.......following a sketch.  See you tomorrow.

RED for a Featured Stamper

It sure felt good to use some RED on a dreary and rainy day!!  Getting a photo was not easy, but I think  you can see the RED all right.  We'll be inside all day ini the craft room and kitchen.......eating of course!!  Have a great day.

Two posts today

Here's my card for the IC this morning. I was inspired by a cow bag. I love this little cow from Fun On The Farm, which will be released by Mark's Finest Papers on Tuesday in a blog hop.

I made this card for Speedy's Friends challenge:  Anything but an A2 card.  I used Butterflies and Wisteria, which will be in the blog hop here as well.  I hope  you will come and see what I (and the rest of the DT) have done with samples!!

For Emily, our QFFTD!

Today our queen is Emily, my DT friend at MFP!  I cased one of her wonderful CAS cards.

I used the little butterfly from MFP's "Butterflies and Wisteria" that will be released on Tuesday, here, at a Blog Hop.  Please come and sett the four new sets Faith has designed.

StampinB's Challenge by Lois

Our challenge today was suggested by Lois......a square birthday card with piercing.

This is a sneak peek of a new set from Mark's Finest Papers, called "Forest Gifts", and will be released next Tuesday with three other fab sets.  I made this masculine birthday card using the spotlight technique, and I just love the deer being highlighted.

Please join us and post your card with Mr. Linky.  see you next week for another stampinB's challenge, and a Blog Hop for MFP!!

Sketch Challenge (Belli below)

Well this was frustrating!  I took a zillion pictures, and still can't get the daffodil color to show properly!  take my word for it, it really is a nice yellow.  I flipped the sketch and instead of the bar, I used a ribbon.  This is a sneak peek of MFP's new set Butterflies and Wisteria that will be released next week in a Blog Hop.

Off to Mom's this AM, lunch with Uncle Paul, Dr., then to rewatch the RED sox win! YAY!

See you tomorrow........and don't forget to check out the Belli Challenge below...........It's RED!!!

Belli Challenge #123

This week's Belli Challenge is to use some non-paper materials, such as fabric, net, denim, anything like that. The best part of this challenge every two weeks is that we are asked to use what is already in our stash. Of course I am a hoard.....um.....saver, so I had some wonderful mesh from something or other we bought as a toy for the kids to use at the pool. I thought it looked great as a veil for this simple hat.

I couldn't resist using a brand new punch.......hope that doesn't get me disqualified!

Below is my card with a great sentiment. Makes me chuckle every time. If you click on it, you can bring it up closer and read it easier.  Pleases try to join us, and post your card or project with Mr. Linky. See you in two weeks!

It's a sneak peek!

Today I'm showing some samples of some new sets that will be released next week by Mark's Finest Papers.  This one is called Butterflies and Wisteria, and I made it for the color challenge of white, gray and turquoise.

The one below is called Fun On The Farm, and is for the Teapot Tuesday challenge, and will go to a child in the hospital.  I think it's cheerful enough to make someone smile.

There will be a Blog Hop next week here and at MFP, so be sure to watch for the new sets!!

Belated Birthday

Today the combined challenges worked for one card.  TLC - sentiment stamped over image, and CAS - belated birthday.  Simple and quick.  Mom and I just discussed the fact that we sledom make multi-layer cards like we used to.  Today we'll rectify that!!  Have a great day!

Featured Stamper Amy

This morning I cased a card by our FS Amy (amylovesnormajean) at SCS.  She has a lovely gallery.  I hope you like my card with NO RED!

Today DIL Debbie and DGS Jake come back from Maine.  We have missed them a lot.  I think Jake will love the new "Grandchildren's Room" that was done while he was away.

Beautiful day....we will probably sit by the pool and listen to the Red Sox beat the White Sox!! Hugs to you all.

Speedy's Friends Challenge

The challenge today is to use twine or jute on your card.  I made a pocket card using Planted With Love from MFP.  this is the first time I figured out how to add TWO things within my photo, and I really needed to do it so you could see all the parts.  I hope that you can click on the photo to see it larger, but I don't know for sure.

Please join us at Mark's Finest Papers and link your card so we can enjoy it too.  See you next week.

Daisies for Queen Carol

Our QFTD is Carol (gingerbeary), my friend and MFPDT member!  Carol makes beautiful cards, and I cased one of them very simply, which is NOT what she does!!  This is also for the F4A challenge, a summer CAS card.

Dark and dismal here today...hard to get a decent picture, but I''m guessing you can figure out that this card is layered and cb'd.  Have a fun day!  Happy Friday.

Stampin'B's Challenge - Ribbon

The challenge today for Stampin'B's was chosen by Faith, who wants us to use ribbon.   I added a charm and pin to mine.  The set is called Poppies, Poppies, Poppies, and I love it.  I wish it had a shorter name, however, because every time I type it, I groan.  Faith........Please!!  Shorter titles!!!!

Please join us by linking your card with ribbon to the Stampin'B's site.  See you next week.

RED for a Change!

Here's my card for the SC at SCS.  Had to be RED.  Mom and I are off to Lynn, lunch with Uncle Paul in Danvers, Dr. at Peabody, then food shopping in Salem.  Back tomorrow.  Have a good one.

CC and Teapot Tuesday

This one is for the color challenge today........a simple 5 minute CAS.  I love these colors!

Below is my gingerbread card for the Teapot Tuesday challenge. The guy is made out of cork to match the dp.  Easy and fun, since the cork is peel and stick.  How easy is that?

Waiting for my Aunt and Uncle to arrive for a visit.  I have lunch all ready.....sandwiches and a nice platter of goodies for fingering!  have a great day, and see you tomorrow for a few minutes before Mom and I go to her house.

CAS with a Tag

I need to tell you the ribbon is really NAVY.  On a dark morning, the photo doesn't come out great (or maybe it's the photographer!).  The theme today at CAS was tags, and the tag is really simple.  I happened to remember I had a SUN eyelet, and could even find it.  It dresses up a card a lot I think, and I use embellishments when I can.  At least I need to, since I can't possibly outlive what I've bought!

That's it for today.  Make it a good one!

Featured Stamper Sunday

Our FS today, Jennie (mocjen) has a very clearly CAS style.  I kept as close to that as possible (for me!), using MFP's new set, Planted With Love.

Today it's just DH, Mom, and me.  Peaceful here.  I've been awake since 4:00........this is what I do when I can't sleep.  Isn't a hobby a wonderful thing?!  Today we will do some heavy duty R&R, read the paper, do the puzzles, read, and watch the Red Sox.  I hope your day is restful too!

Heart Irises

\

Here's my card for two challenges today, Speedy the Cat's Friends, and the IC at SCS.  Speedy wants us to use three hearts, and the Inspiration is glass art.  Please join us on either or both!!

Have a great day....keep cool!

Queen Julia's Day!!

My sweet friend Julia (artystamper) was named Queen For The Day today at SCS.  No one deserves it more!! Her artistic abilities and talents are not to be believed!!  She makes beautiful cards, and fantastic projects of all kinds........puts me to shame!!!  Check out her gallery and see for yourself!!

This is a card I cassed in her honor.

Have a great day.  We're in the midst of a really HOT week, so we'll be inside all day.  We have grandson John here, who is loving "his" new room!!  We'll be trying to keep him busy in the house, but I'm sure he'll be in the hot tub and pool as well.  See you tomorrow, and BIG HUGS to you, Julia!!

StampinB's Challenge

Vicky chose our theme this week........a card using black, brown, and ivory.  I made this LOOOOONG card that folds up  to A2 size, using SU punches, and the sentiment from MFP Owl Be Here.  I hope you like it, and will join us.

We have spent the week getting the grandchildren's rooms ready, and after 8 hours of lugging and organizing after the painter and carpenter did their thing, it was ready just in time for  grandson John, who arrived late Tuesday afternoon.  He LOVED it!!  He spent the rest of the day in "his" new room.  He'll be here until saturday.

when you read this, I'll be at Mom's, taking her to her house for getting her mail, a Dr. appt., and hairdresser.  We'll come back late Thursday, and be glad to return to central air conditioning.  Have a great week!
