See you tomorrow for Day 2!

for Faith!!

What a treat to find Faith our QFTD!!  I cased one of her fabulous colorful cards, and combined it with the F4A63 challenge to make a pocket card and use a different technique.  I stitched with my sewing machine (badly!) and used a piece of acetate for a window card.  Faith, enjoy your wearing of the tiara, and I hope you like what I have done for you!! Big Hugs.

Mom is doing so well.  Her hands are not affected, nor is her sense of humor.  Her speech is coming along, and she would like to thank you all for your hugs and best wishes, not to mention the wonderful cards!!

We leave on Sunday for vacation.  We hope to get in another challenge before we leave.  Have a great day!

StampinB's challenge

Today's Challenge with the StampinB's is chosen by Faith........use flower soft or glitter.  I chose flower soft, which I don't use very often.  It was a good nudge for me to get some out!! I used MFP's set "A Walk In The Woods" for my image, and a new nestie.  I really love yellow for this time of year!  I hoope  you like it, and will join us by adding your card with Mr. Linky here.  See you again next week.

For Mom

I'm off. Mom had a stroke yesterday.  Her speech is affected. More tests today to find out why.  See you later. This card is for her.

Here's Some RED!

This is my card for the FS today.  Don't you think it was about time I used some RED?  Making a clean and simple card is so easy.......this took less than 5 minutes because I already had my white cut!! How cool is that?  Have a great day.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge (and IC282)

Welcome to another Speedy's Friends Challenge.  This week we are asked to use pins.  I used a wonderful MFP pearl pin with an image from In My Mother's garden.

Please join us by adding your card or project here . See you again next week!

*BLUSH*

Imagine my surprise (and delight) to be named Queen For The Day at Splitcoaststampers!! What an honor and a treat as well!!!

This card is made for my own challenge, and the Free For All, layaers.  I had such a good time making and layering all these RED Hearts.  The card is a 6 x 6, and I think I will probably give it to Mom on Mother's Day at lunch.

Speaking of lunch, in honor of my royal day, DH is taking me to lunch.  He says I deserve it.  He's a keeper, isn't he?

Have a fab day.  Mine sure is!!

StampinB's Challenge - Paper Piecing and Monochromatic Blues

Our challenge today from Joanne at StampinB's is to use a technique - Paper Piecing, and to use Monochromatic blues.  I had this paper which I bought in November in a little store across from Colby College in NH. The guy had the most gorgeous papers, and I have been hoarding it......BAD, BAD!!  So here is the fab dp, used with MFP's "Sew What?"

Please join us, and add your project here with Mr. Linky. see you again next week.

Mother's Day (Belli Challenge below)

Here is my card for the SC today........but the police may be after me.  I couldn't make the sketch work for me.  I am ready for the police to come and take me off in shackles! LOL!.  I may do another and really get the sketch right....maybe not!
I used two different MFP sets:  Apples & Camellia, and Bearded Iris.  I hope you like it.  I will put this on the bag for my mother with her goodies in it for Mother's Day!

Creative Belli Challenge - Royal!

Welcome back to the Creative Belli Challenge! In honor of the Royal Wedding, our challenge this time is to make a "Royal" card. Not only did I use the Royal Purple and a bg of crowns, but also the image is of the Princess Bride with the saying, "as you wish". One of our favorite family movies!

Please join us. The whole idea of the Belli Challenge is to use what you already have in your stash. Remember, the more you use of what you have, the sooner you can go shopping!! LOL!

Please link your card here so we can enjoy it too! See you again in two weeks!

What's New?

I had such fun making this card today.  It's for the CC and MMTPT challenges at SCS.

The images were taken from three different Mark's Finest Papers sets:
mushrooms and butterfly - garden fairies
frog - Speedy the Cat's Friends
saying - Sew What?

I stamped and colored the images, and embossed the bg with the Forest Branches EF to look like grass.  Then I positioned each of the parts (only half the butterfly), and popped them up.  The bg is sponged, and I finished up with a bow and some gold cord.  I hope you like it.

Triple Cups

For both challenges stoday at SCS: TLC and CAS.  Not only are there three cups, but I also used the BIG punch 3 times.

Today I am relishing the peace and quiet of my house.  The grands have all gone back to school, and this morning Mom went back home.  It was lovely to have all the company, even though they are family, but nice to have the house to DH and moiself!!  hope you are having a lovely day, and that you will consider joining the Birthday card swap at SCS with MFP.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge - Congrats/Anniversary

This challenge today is really timely for me. Our oldest son David, and his wife Sarah, will be celebrating their 18th anniversary on May first. This will go to them. The punched piece is gold matte paper, and was it ever a pain in the **** to punch. It's pretty thick, and once I started it, I had to finish. I have more of the paper left, but you can be sure it won't be punched EVER AGAIN!

Orange Dianthus

This is my upload for the F4A61 Challenge at SCS today, usinig MFP's Butterflies Dianthus and Flourishes.
See you tomorrow.

StampinB's Challenge - Mother's Day

Today's challenge is submitted by Vicki D. to make a Mother's Day card. I just had to make one in yellow, white,  and orange, with some soft flowers and using some punches. The set I used from Mark's Finest Papers is called "In My Mother's Garden".  I hope you like it. Please join us. Attach your project here and join us again next week for another fun challenge!

Second Day - Tommy and Gramma

Here are the cards Tommmy and I made today.  Tommy used last week's sketch.  He thought it looked like pages in a book, so he made a handbook for magic.  I love the way his mind works......ten year olds have a lot going on!!

Mine uses "Owl Be Here" from MFP for THIS week's sketch.  I hope you like it.

Speaking of MFP, there is a Birthday swap going on at SCS, using MFP images.  Everyone who enters receives a special new set.  Go take a look.  You have until June 30 to get your cards in!!

From Tommy and Gramma today

Here are the cards Tommy and I made this morning.  They are for the two challenges at SCS today.  He is staying for a few days during his school vacation, and his brother John went home, making room for him.  Tommy loves to make cards, and had his own ideas about his images.
His interest at the moment is mythology.  The image represents the staff of Hermes, and instead of twining snakes at the top, he put a tulip there.  What an imagination!
My card is a doorway with tulips already blooming.  I hope you like them both.  Have a great day.

Same But Different

For the challenges today..........Grandson Tommy is here, so we'll be busy for a few days.......I know you understand.
