Speedy The Cat's Friends Challenge - Collage and IC

The challenge today is to make a collage. This is the hardest thing for me...... I never think what I do is good enough. I'm sure it takes a certain way for the mind to work, and mine just doesn't!! I hope y ou like this... it's off to my mother, who is going on vacation for two weeks (with me! LOL!) I know she will get a kick out of getting a card!

Both cards are for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS today........I loved the website so much I did two cards. This second one uses a new set from MFP called "Oh Boy, It's A Girl". I hope you like them both!

The StampinB's Challenge today was chosen by Lois (clownmom) - To use a square, circle, and oval. I had this wonderful butterfly paper in my stash, and cut out one of them for the panel. I used my new MS punch, and the sentiment comes from a new release at Mark's Finest Papers called Garden Fairies.

Belli Challenge #115 - Bunnies/Eggs

The Creative Belli Challenge this time is to make something with bunnies/eggs......Easter theme. Be sure to use what you already have in your stash. An Iris For Becky

My card is a CASE of Becky Spinks's called Wedding. She is our Featured Stamper today on SCS. I used the big image from a new set that will be released in two days called "Bearded Iris". My card today does dual duty.......for the Embedded Embossing technique, but especially for the Queen For The Day, Harriet Skelly (hskelly) at SCS. She is such a dear and sweet friend, I am just thrilled she was deservedly chosen. I cased a fairly simple card of hers, which you can see if you go to my gallery. Enjoy your day, Harriet, and the rest of you too. I'm off for my yearly eye appt., and will need new lenses. DH says that's what the $ is for! You know I'd rather be spending it on supplies, of course!! See you tomorrow!

These cards are for StampinB's Challenge #105. Brenda challenged us to make a card in navy and green, with dots, stripes, or plaid. I've taken part in these challenges before, but never as a Design Team member!

The zebra card is a sneak peek of MFP's "Oh Boy, It's a Girl" to be released next week, and also for the WT317.

No Mojo.

This is a sneak peek of a new set that will be released next week by MFP, called In My Mother's Garden.

I have no mojo today. It's a dark and rainy day, and I have no get up and go. Maybe the day will get better.........but at the moment, no mojo. Sorry.

I just LOVE Mondays!

Before you think I have lost my mind, remember I am retired!! There are NO mondays!! What I really love about the first day of the week is that there are two totally different challenges on SCS. Below are the projects I did this morning: CAS in aqua, white, and yellow, using the MFP set Flourished Sea Creatures.

The Technique Lovers Challenge was to print out a template and make a tote bag. I just love how it came out...... I think I'll fill it with my mom's favorite candy for Mothers Day. What do you think??

We are expecting rain all week. Better than snow! Have a good one.

A Whole Room for Irene!

Our Featured Stamper today is Irene, and she is the lovliest person!! She always has the sweetest comments, and makes gorgeous cards and projects.

I have been wanting to make a folded room card, and this is one I made as a case of one of her cards, which was an easel, but had a similar layout. The top photo shows the card closed, and the bottom shows it unfolded. I think the whole idea is really clever! It's based on one I saw by hskelly (Thanks Harriet!), and I will try this again. I hope you like it.

Off today to our daughter's to see grandson Tommy's Lacrosse game, and a long overdue visit with DSIL Tom, and Erin and John, the grands. Lots of hugs and kisses today! YAY! See you tomorrow.

For Queen Lois!

This card is for Queen Lois (Bak), QFTD. She so deserves this honor.......and what an honor it is to serve with her on the MFP DT!! Also for the IC and for Speedy's Friends. DH is gone for the day to RI........he starts the track meet for the east coast college meets today. I have the day to moiself, and I have thousands of things to do!! I'll check in with all of you later!

Home, Home on the Range

The Free For All challenge at SCS today was to make a card or project about HOME. I used MFP's Southwest Cowboy set for making this card. I hope you like it.......Home on the Range really appealed to me, as I love the southwestern theme. Thanks for looking. See you tomorrow.

Lace and Flower!

For the WT (flowers) and StampinB's (no dp, use stamps to make a bg), I used a brand new Inkadinkado image of lace. It's a stamp I will surely use a lot! I never ever use this Razz. color.........so it was about time I inked it up.

A very gray day here.......we are being promised snow for tomorrow. So much for Spring. Yuck. My job today is to empty the hot tub, and refill it. I hate that job, but DH is in meetings all day today, and I really need to earn my keep! Hugs to you all.
