My 1st StampinB's Challenge!

These cards are for StampinB's Challenge #105. Brenda challenged us to make a card in navy and green, with dots, stripes, or plaid. I've taken part in these challenges before, but never as a Design Team member!

The zebra card is a sneak peek of MFP's "Oh Boy, It's a Girl" to be released next week, and also for the WT317.

Early this week I was asked to join the DT, and of course I said yes! This is a fabulous bunch of creative gals........I am so honored to be asked to join them! From now on, on Thrusdays, you'll see my StampinB's entry. I hope you will join us, and post your project HERE to Mr. Linky.

Have a wonderful day. Mom is coming for a visit today, and will stay for a few days. Hooray!!

No Mojo.

This is a sneak peek of a new set that will be released next week by MFP, called In My Mother's Garden.

I have no mojo today. It's a dark and rainy day, and I have no get up and go. Maybe the day will get better.........but at the moment, no mojo. Sorry.

I just LOVE Mondays!

Before you think I have lost my mind, remember I am retired!! There are NO mondays!! What I really love about the first day of the week is that there are two totally different challenges on SCS. Below are the projects I did this morning: CAS in aqua, white, and yellow, using the MFP set Flourished Sea Creatures.

The Technique Lovers Challenge was to print out a template and make a tote bag. I just love how it came out...... I think I'll fill it with my mom's favorite candy for Mothers Day. What do you think??

We are expecting rain all week. Better than snow! Have a good one.

A Whole Room for Irene!

Our Featured Stamper today is Irene, and she is the lovliest person!! She always has the sweetest comments, and makes gorgeous cards and projects.

I have been wanting to make a folded room card, and this is one I made as a case of one of her cards, which was an easel, but had a similar layout. The top photo shows the card closed, and the bottom shows it unfolded. I think the whole idea is really clever! It's based on one I saw by hskelly (Thanks Harriet!), and I will try this again. I hope you like it.

Off today to our daughter's to see grandson Tommy's Lacrosse game, and a long overdue visit with DSIL Tom, and Erin and John, the grands. Lots of hugs and kisses today! YAY! See you tomorrow.

For Queen Lois!

This card is for Queen Lois (Bak), QFTD. She so deserves this honor.......and what an honor it is to serve with her on the MFP DT!! Also for the IC and for Speedy's Friends. DH is gone for the day to RI........he starts the track meet for the east coast college meets today. I have the day to moiself, and I have thousands of things to do!! I'll check in with all of you later!

Home, Home on the Range

The Free For All challenge at SCS today was to make a card or project about HOME. I used MFP's Southwest Cowboy set for making this card. I hope you like it.......Home on the Range really appealed to me, as I love the southwestern theme. Thanks for looking. See you tomorrow.

Lace and Flower!

For the WT (flowers) and StampinB's (no dp, use stamps to make a bg), I used a brand new Inkadinkado image of lace. It's a stamp I will surely use a lot! I never ever use this Razz. color.........so it was about time I inked it up.

A very gray day here.......we are being promised snow for tomorrow. So much for Spring. Yuck. My job today is to empty the hot tub, and refill it. I hate that job, but DH is in meetings all day today, and I really need to earn my keep! Hugs to you all.

Daisies in Blue (Belli posted below!)

This card is for the sketch challenge today.......I flipped the direction to accommodate my daisies from Mark's Finest Papers. I really love this sentiment! How fabulous for someone who is getting over a sickness or just plain in need of some reminding to put themselves first!! This will go to Mom, who is back home, and caring for herself!

Thanks for visiting, and please look below for the Belli Challenge!!

Creative Belli Challenge #114

The creative Belli Challenge for this week has a Seamstress theme: Please look in your stash for anything seamstress related (pins, thread, buttons, measuring tape, etc.). We would love to have you join us HERE.

This is the card I made for the challenge, using MFP's "Sew What?" set. I hope you like it.

Please join us again in two weeks.

Lilies for Mom

The colors for the challenge today are so pretty, and so Springy!! I couldn't resist making another Easter card for Mom, one of the seven I will send her. She loves Easter lilies, and has lots of them in her garden. If Spring would only come to New England, hers would bloom!! Have a great day!!

2nd Post today.........Old Chick!

Couldn't resist making another for Mom. I hope she will think it's as funny as I do! Thanks for looking.

Bunny Bear Hugs for Easter

The TLC this morning was to FOLLOW THE EDGE of the image. Isn't this fun? The image is from Darcie's Country Folk, and I think it's really adorable. I combined it with the CAS challenge, to cut up sentiments (MFP - He Is The Lamb). I hope you like it. It's one of the seven I will be sending to Mom for the week before Easter. Have a great day!

Good Day/Bad Day

On the left is my card casing the Featured Stamper today. There's a story that goes with it, of course!

Elaine's card is called "Goth Girl". That got me off to my craft room looking for my goth girl image. I looked everywhere, and when I didn't find it, I remembered I never bought it! DUH! But I DID have a stamp by the same company (Stampotique) that was really weird, so I used that. The next time I see the goth girl, you can bet I'm coming home with it.

Now........that wasn't so awful, but here's the good/bad:

The ads this morning had a chair at Target that would be perfect for my room, especially since I have finally made space so Mom and I could work together. DH said he'd take me tomorrow, then changed his mind, and we were there at the store when it opened. Got two chairs. Yay.

Came home, made my card, and the printer died. DH was NOT HAPPY! My camera card worked fine so I could upload, but we couldn't copy the Sunday puzzles. He tried the fax, but the slippery paper just crunched up. He went to Staples to get a new 4 in one, and they weren't open. NOT HAPPY! He went especially because their A2 envies are $5.00!! (Run to Staples!), and I wanted 5 boxes. He has put together one of the chairs, and it's perfect! ($17.00!! WOW!), and gone back to Staples. I hope he comes home happy this time!!

That's my song and dance, and the longest blog I have ever posted. If you get this far, I hope you get a new chair and some envies! Have a great day.

Addendum: He called from Staples, and I had to go there with my camera card to be sure he had the right printer........he said he wasn't making a third trip!!

Candied Apple for Recuperation

This card will be in the mail this AM to Mom, to remind her to EAT!!, and to continue to get better! It satisfies the criteria for the IC277, and for Speedy's Friends (dry and heat embossing, and popping up).

African Morning

I had every intention of making a RED card today, but the challenge was to be inspired by the sun. How fabulous that the sun is actually shining here today, after snow showers most of yesterday. I hope you like my scene, using images from Mark's Finest Papers set, "African Veldt". I love giraffes!!
Talked to Mom last night, and she's loving the tiny crockpot we bought. Now she doesn't have to try to think of what to cook.......just pop veggies and meat in, and turn it on. She is doing fine. Phew!! Have a great day!

Fishy Birthday

Here's my card for the WT315 and SC325. I wish you could see how well the colors go together. It was very hard to get a decent picture today, but the lime paper and ink really do match!!
I am home from Mom's, and she is there. She was finally well enough to drive, and she felt well enough to be on her own. Hooray for her!! Thanks to all of you who sent get well wishes and prayers for her.......they really worked!! Have a great day, one and all!!!

Do you hear sirens???

I think I may just be in trouble with two challenges this AM. For the CAS, there was a sketch by Lisa Lara......I followed it, flipped it, but it has a little too much stuff for CAS. Life of its own, ya know what I mean?
For the TLC, the challenge was to use newspaper. Luckily, we get the Sunday edition to hold in our hands, so I had some. I tried all kinds of ways to use some, but it wouldn't work for me. I ended up using just the single word. As my DD says, O for 2!
If you hear sirens in the distance, they are surely for me!
Mom is so much better. She wants to go home tomorrow, and if she can drive, she can get on with her life. By now, she's probably more sick of us than her original malaise. Thanks to all of you for your comments to her along with your well-wishes. Hugs!!

Featured Stamper Day!

The FS at SCS today is MaryBeth! She has a wonderful gallery, and the cards I cased were both CAS. I used the MFP set "African Veldt" on the top one, and "Our Side of the Pond" for the second.

We are having a laidback Sunday with Mom ....... the sun is shining, and we'll be playing a bit. Have a great day, see you tomorrow.
