CCEE1801 Waddle We Do In 2018?
Another year, and the CCEE girls start again!
This month, Liz is our hostess. For her first challenge, she tells us to use a penguin or other animal that loves the cold.
Here's my TAC penguin sitting on his block of ice, saying hello to his friends. The dolphins are die cuts. In the background are mounds of snow and a cloud filled sky. This card will go to my DGD Sam who loves ALL animals.

CCEE1750 Favorite Stamps
For the last challenge of the year, Maryann asks us to keep it simple, using a favorite holiday stamp to create a card.
I actually used a wonderful pine cone stamp, and a terrific die cut. There's also a fabulous die cut and a punch..........but of course the best part is the RED.
Please join us, linking your card to our blog HERE.
Have a safe and happy holiday......see you next year!

CCEE1748 Baby or Wedding
For Joanne's last challenge:
"as the last of our celebratory month, I would like you to make a baby card or a wedding card........your choice. If you have lots of time, you could make both......lol!!
Obviously, I went with a baby card. The picture doesn't show that one of the hands is pink, and one is blue. So are the little safety pins.

Free For All
I made a very simple card today. No stamping at all. We were to be inspired by a quote from Thoreau, regarding the world of imagination and color.
I think this finishes up my Christmas cards for this year. I always send them out on the first of December. The envelopes are addressed.........just have to take a last trip to the post office for more stamps!
Thanks for looking, and have a terrific day!

Thanksgiving
Here we all are at DD Amy's.......missing son Paul, DIL Debbie, grandson Jake, and granddaughter Samantha. Amy took the picture. Jay and I are at the end (in case you couldn't guess!).
You can tell by the plates that we are about to dig in. There was also pie - apple, cherry, blueberry, and pumpkin. I had a sliver of each!! I brought home just enough turkey, stuffing, and gravy for an open faced sandwich for Jay and me.

Our Tommy!
Wachusett Regional High School. November 2017
The high school defines its core values as creating a positive culture of learning, leadership, behavior and work ethic. The students who earn the “Mountaineer” award do that job and do it well, Pratt said.
The high school defines its core values as creating a positive culture of learning, leadership, behavior and work ethic. The students who earn the “Mountaineer” award do that job and do it well, Pratt said.
“I think they deserve a little recognition for that,” he said. “It’s more than just an academic award, it’s more than just an athletic award; it’s a character award, I think,” Pratt said.
November was the inaugural month for the award. Pratt sent out an email to more than 100 teachers and staff at the high school, requesting nominations and a brief explanation of why the student was nominated.
This first round netted 11 nominations. As the assistant principals read why each student was put forward for the award, they decided there was no reason to narrow the list to just one recipient.
“I didn’t want to set a number to it because I didn’t want to exclude anybody,” he said. “We want to see leaders in the classroom, kids getting out of their comfort zone, kids that are inclusive of other kids.”
Pratt explained the award to the students and read out what their teachers wrote about them in their nominations.
“They were surprised, but these are the humble kids. They were a little embarrassed, too, by what they were being recognized for,” he said. “I think for some of these kids, this is what they do everyday.”
In addition to the certificate, the students also received a coupon for a 25 percent discount at the school store. Pratt hopes to grow the program to be a little more formal, with the Mountaineers of the Month getting a little breakfast break and maybe some recognition like gift certificates from the community at large.
He also plans to send a letter home to parents so they know their student got nominated.
“So we’re starting out small and hoping to build on it,” he said.

Space
Today the challenge on SCS was themed SPACE. Here's what I added to the gallery:
I love these little aliens from Stampendous, and the sentiment from Putting on the Ritz. The entire saying is - "There's nothing in the Universe that says I have to make sense." Don't you think this is fun??? I think the gems and googlie eyes make this a hoot!! Thanks for looking!

CCEE1745 Guys
Joanne says:
"I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I never seem to have enough masculine birthday cards. This week is for the guys......make a masculine card of any type.....does not have to be a birthday card."
This is indeed a birthday card for our grandson Nate. He is about to turn 23. He loves music, and plays guitar. I think he'll like this.
Please feel free to join us, linking your card to our blog HERE.

Sketch Challenge
Today is my favorite challenge day. A sketch is provided. I flipped the sketch to accommodate the eyes on the cats.
Inside it says, "The years have been kind to you. It was the weekends that did the damage!"
