CHF Sneak Peek Day 4!

Welcome to another Sneak Peek for Cornish Heritage Farms!

This card uses the rubber stamp set called Haute Couture.  I sponged the cardstock with purple and magenta, stamping the Eiffel Tower and the word "Paris" repeatedly in black and magenta ink.  The top layer is backed with magenta cardstock, and tied with purple/white twine.  On the top of the panel is the single word "wishing" from  CHF  digital words, Here's Wishing...  Lastly, I added a French postage stamp.

CHF Sneak Peek Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of sneak peeks for Cornish Heritage Farms!

The Ornaments Vines BG (SL3174) is done in Versamark on a lavender cardstock, and I used a chalk to highlight the beautiful flowers and vines.  I wrapped a ribbon in the same lavender, and added a CHF digital stamp (Village Snow Scene) colored in purple pencil, on dimensionals.  There are two thin borders of black and lavender surrounding the scene, and it's popped up.  A bow completes the card.

Day 2 CHF sneak peeks

Welcome to the second day of sneak peeks for Cornish Heritage Farms.

My card today uses a new rubber stamp background called Fishnet (3200). I've combined it with two digital stamps (also from CHF), Large Conch Shell, and Shell 1. I used a medium blue cardstock for the card.  The Fishnet bg is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, on a blue cardstock, and the digital stamps are painted and cut out.  I added punched branches, pearls, and a ribbon to complete it.

Cornish Heritage Farms Sneak Peek

Welcome to the first day of CHF sneak peeks! Here's a look at one of the brand new rubber background stamps, called Ornaments Vines (SL3174). I have paired it with a digital stamp called Asian 13.

The colors of card stock are black, RED, and white.  The background is stamped in onyx black Versafine ink, and the flourish is from Sizzix.  I mounted the digital image on black, white, and RED, and popped it up on dimensionals.  Three brads in the upper corner complete my card.

  • Don’t forget to check out all the Cornish Heritage Farms Design Team’s blogs for more sneak peeks everyday!

My Train of Thought.........

For the IC, Speedy Fox and Friends, and a sneak peek of the new set "Train Talk" from MFP - a Heinrich Co.

There will be a Blog Hop here on Tuesday to introduce the four new sets. I hope you will come and take a look.

Busy weekend........Grandson Jake is here.  We are about to go off to Barnes and Noble.  He has a gift card that is burning a hole in his pocket from his Bar Mitzvah.  It's school vacation, and he was here right after school yesterday for a little vacation.  When he goes, Erin comes for the week.  She has missed her turn, so gets to stay longer.  I will be scarce for a while, but rest assured we are having fun!

For Queen Charlene!

How fabulous to discover one of my favorite stampers is Queen For The Day!  Charlene (LilLuvsStampin") has been a cyber friend since I began stamping on SCS.  We've been on DT's together, and were the original DARE girls!  Congratulations, my sweet friend!

This card is also for the F4A challenge, and is a sneak peek of MFP's new set "Daffodil Greetings".  It will be shown in its entirety on Tuesday when the Blog Hop is here.  Be sure to join me and the rest of the DT.

Busy day.  Mom gets a hairdo, DH and I get to see the eye Dr., then grandson Jake comes for a mini-vacation.  See you later.

Sneaky Puppy (CCEE below)

Here is a sneak peek of Fabulous Dogs, that will be released next Tuesday in a Blog Hop for Mark's Finest Papers - a Heinrich Co.  Please join me here!

This card is for the Ways To Use It challenge - RUFFLES.  I had to get out the old needle and thread and some pretty RED seam binding to make this puppy really cute.  Hope you like him!

Quiet day today.........a dump run, maybe get some new sneakers.  I really need them.  See you tomorrow, and don't forget to take a look at the CCEE challenge below.

CCEE1215 Three Embellishments

Here we are on Thursday again, and time for another CCEE challenge.  Cindy Haffner is this month's hostess, and her directive was to use 3 embellishments.

I used my new nestie of the butterfly.  The embellishments are gems, flower, and ribbon.

The ribbon is stamped in brown with a SU sentiment, the flower is punched and a brad is added, plus punched leaves from MS.  Before leaving the nestie, I added brown stenciling, and then the brown gems.

Please join us, adding your card to Mr. Linky HERE, and be sure to look at the cards made by the DT.  See you next week!

Daffodils and jonquils are blooming, and forsythias are as well.  Guess it must be Spring!  Our garden is a mess, and we are hoping to hear from our landscaper before SUMMER!!

Have a great day.

Cards for Monday Morning

This white on white card is for the Technique Lover's Challenge, to use Faux Dry Embossing.

The faux part is the punched hearts in the bg, glued down by running through my Xyron (which I haven't used in forevah!)  The rest is cb'd with nesties and sizzix, and some punched flowers layered and attached with a brad.

At the last minute I decided to add a ribbon and bow, and I think now it looks finished.

The other challenge today was Clean And Simple.  I had to use some RED, in the stamp, the twine, and the flower centers.  I had out the Sizzix leaves and mat pack, so I added the flowers and leaves.  The theme today was scallops, so that determined the punches at the bottom, for the panel and flowers.

We had a fab Easter yesterday at DD's.  Food was delish, but the best part was that we sat at the table long after we finished eating, just to talk.  How lucky we are to enjoy each other (all 12 of us!!).  Hope your Easter was wonderful too!

Monochromatic Mother's Day

My card today is for two challenges...........the IC331 at SCS and Speedy the Fox and Friends Challenge #102.  Pat reauired us to make a Mother's Day Card.

I used the MFP set, Mother's Magnolias to make this tri-shutter card.  Please feel  free to join us and link your card to us HERE.

CCEE1214 Embossing Folder for Easter

Cindy Haffner is our hostess for this month.  She chose "Embossing Folder" as our theme for this week.

Because Easter is so near, here's a card with Easter Lilies from Mark's Finest Papers - A Heinrich Co.

The EF I used is D'Vine Swirls.  The lilies are watercolored in Pretty in Pink and Celery, and the bg stamping is in Versafine black.  I added some die cut filigrees from Sizzix, and a Nestie.  Finished it off with brads and pearls to go with the white organdy ribbon - I hope you like it.

Please join us again this week by linking your card to our blog HERE. and play with us every Thursday for another fun challenge.

Sketch Challenge

Today the sketch challenge made me think of embossed trees.

I haven't used eyelets in forevah, so today was the day for those too.  I found a ribbon that was close to the color of the kraft layer, and I'm not really sure they take away from the masculinity of this card, but that's what I ended up with.

What really took the longest was not the choosing of the paper, but cutting the holes for the eyelets.  I found where I had put my long abandoned eyelet setter, and hammered away.  I should have thought to use a punch first, before adhering all the layers together.  I guess "too soon old, too late smart" applies here. LOL!

Have a great day.  Hope to catch up with you tomorrow.

Spotlight on a Ladybug

Today I combined two challenges, the TLC and the CAS.

This was really fast and easy.  The cuttlebug did all the work!

The faux pressed flowers have black brads in the center, and the spotlighted ladybug is done with a RED marker, of course.  Just had to get some RED in there on a rainy and dark morning.

I just happened to have some ribbon that tied *sorry* it all together.  Hope you like it.

That's it for today. Have a good one.

RED Turkish Towel

The Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #101 is the choice our hostess, Linda, made for today....a square card.  I combined it with the Inspiration Challenge at SCS.

The site for the IC is called Harabu House, and specializes in international gifts.  I chose a RED Turkish Towel, not only for the color, but for the design.  The EF I used really duplicates it.

I hope you will join us in the Speedy challenge, and  link your card HERE.

Casing a Beautiful Card by Sylvia (sillyfilly)

Mom and I had a busy morning.  When we checked for the challenges is was nearly lunchtime.

DH offered to take us to lunch at our favorite spot, so we  took off again.

This is the sum total of what we accomplished today.  We caed a lovely card, keeping the layout and colors, and changing only the sentiment and shape of the panel.  We did add a few more pieces of greenery in light turquoise and white, and love the results. See  you tomorrow.

CCEE1213 New Home/Apartment

This week our theme, chosen by Joanne (jojot) is to make a card for a new apartment or home.

I used my new Cityscape from Tim Holtz.  There are punched tiny keys and a popped sun in gold, and I topped it off with some clouds sponged with a template.

I hope you will join us this week.  Be sure to link your card HERE, and join us again next week.  Our hostess for the next month will be Cindy Haffner, and she has some fun plans!!

Monday Challenges

The first card I made this morning is for the CAS........and we had a magazine cover of cupcakes for inspiration.

I used my CM Cutting System, and masked the card to sponge on purple, pink, yellow, and green.  The cupcake I overstamped is from MFP (retired Birthday Mini), and I added a sentiment from the same set and a ribbon.  Easy.

The second card is done using a new technique, Faux Patina. It sounds difficult, but was actually easy to do.  It involves the cb and embossing.  I used four colors, Sahara, Caramel, Pumpkin, and Rust, then embossed in spots with copper.

The beautiful lace comes from MFP, and the rose is from SU.

Thanks for looking, and for your comments.  Have a great day!

Shades of Pink Flowers

For two challenges.........the IC, and for Speedy Fox and Friends.

Barb is our hostess, and for #100, has challenged us to make a card in shades of pink.

There's very little stamping here, only the sentiment.  I did some layering and fussy cutting, and added gems.  I am beginning to love making square cards!!

Please feel free to join us HERE, and see who else has left some fun and beautiful cards for us!

CCEE1212 Housework???

Joanne (jojot) chose our theme for this week, Make The Sentiment The Focus.  I love this sentiment, and it could have been written just for me.  That's my attitude about housework.  Once you clean the house, it has to be done again.  How stupid is that???????

I used Pirouette Pink and white, my cb, nesties and the swirl EF.  The bit of green is celery, and a Martha Stewart punch.  Easy peasy.

Please join us, linking your card here at our BLOG.  While you're there, check out the DT's cards as well.  see you next Thursday for another fun challenge.

Three in One

This is the first time I have ever combined three challenges in one - I needed to catch up for yesterday, when stamping just didn't happen.

This is for: Diane (pinkberry) our Featured Stamper, and I cased a card of hers.

The TLC today is to use a partial image. Check.

The CAS is to use a sketch provided by Angela. Check.

We are off today for a Bone Density Test for Mom, and we are in desperate need of black markers.  Why is it we run out of things at the same time??

Have a great day.  Don't forget the MFP Blog Hop starts here tomorrow, with four new fabulous sets!!

Inspired by Ties

For the IC and Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge..........a one layer card.

This is made with a new set called "Lighthouses" that will be shown with three more sets on Tuesday in a Blog Hop.  I hope you will visit here and see!!

We are off for the day.  Errands this morning, then to DD's for corned beef and cabbage, then to Tom and Cheryl's as usual for dinner and cards.  A fun day planned.

Have a great day today, and a fab weekend.

QFTD104 and CCEE1211 International Challenge (F4A)

Welcome to another CCEE Challenge!  This week our hostess Joanne (jojot) chose an International theme.

I thought you could probably figure out for yourself what country I chose!

The colors are monochromatic sepia on tan, with brown ribbon and raffia.  The images are from Beeswax, and the sand dunes were made by sponging post-its.  I used the hieroglyphics on the side only, and stamped them in black so they would show up just a little more.  The charm is from MFP. If you click on the card, you will see a larger image.

Please join us and link your card to our blog HERE.  Don't forget to check out the DT entrees, and make a comment or two.  See you again next week.  ( I also used this for the Free For All)

Now I know you were just dying to see some RED, and so was I, so here is my card honoring our Queen For The Day, Melina (mepylant).

I'm beginning to make Mother's Day cards, and I just loved her colors and layout.  I changed the image and sentiment to the new set from Mark's Finest Papers, Mother's Magnolias, that will be released here on Tuesday.  Please come here then to see the samples of what's in store. (And don't forget to check here for sneak peeks too!)

Our diets are a bother, so I think since we are missing our regular food and snacks, not to mention going out and having a glass of wine, we will quit while we have the chance.  We lost 4 lbs.  I should have lost 10-15.  Life goes on, and I'd like to enjoy it. (Had a cortisone shot in my thumb yesterday - if it works, surgery will be OUT.  YAY!)  Have a great day!

Wild Horses Peek

Here's a sneak peek of another set from MFP - a Heinrich Co. that will be released on Tuesday of next week.

I think this "Wild Horses" set is wonderful for making masculine cards.  It has wonderful images and sentiments to go with almost anything.

There will be a blog hop here starting Tuesday, and I hope you will join me.  There are free sets as prizes, so be sure to comment!!!

Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek of a new set from Mark's Finest Papers - A Heinrich Co.  It will be released a week from today with three more sets.  This one is called "Lighthouses".  Cool, huh?

This is for the Color Challenge today on SCS.  Daffodil, Pool Party, and Poppy Parade, plus ribbon, was the theme.  I thought spotlighting the lighthouse worked really well. I hope you like it.

Rain today, but warm.  Mom has a Bone Density test today, so we'll go out just for that.  Have a great day.

Pictures of family

DD just sent these on..........from grandson Jake's Bar Mitzvah:

Erin, Amy, Tommy, Tom, John

Paul and Greg

Amy and Jake

Steve and Judy Winer, Jake, Anne, Mom, Jay - Grandparents and Great Grandmother

Grandchildren:
Back row:  Nathan, samantha, Erin.
Front: Tommy, Jake, John

Great Grandma

And a great picture of our Irish Dancer at the St. Patrick's day Parade in Worcester:

That's our Erin on the right!!

Featured Stamper and Family

Above are the two cards I made in honor of my friend, Harriet (hskelly), who is our Featured Stamper today.  Harriet and I are on a DT together, and I have to say, she is one of the sweetest people I know (at least cyber-ly!).  She always has lovely things to say, and cares about her teammates all the time.

Below is the first picture to come out of the Bar Mitzvah of our grandson, Jake.  My son Paul is his father, and Debbie, his mom, is now breathing again.  It has been a very stressful week for her.......more than for Jake!

Jakey did a fabulous job of reading the Torah, and he was so poised and grown-up! It was a lovely day with friends and family.  We all fully enjoyed it, even those of us who had never been to a Shul or ceremony before! Very impressive.

The ceremony was followed with great food and fellowship, and we are all glad it's done!  I hope you enjoy seeing the picture of the sweet boy and the exhausted parents!

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #98

The challenge today is BINGO........I chose the bottom row, Image, Circles, and Piercing.

My posting is a bit late.......today was our Grandson Jake's Bar Mitzvah.  It was fun.  He was fabulous.  We were all weepy, he did so well.  There was a wonderful cocktail hour, and amazing food.  I came home to unwind and do the challenge.  I hope you like it.

Double Challenge and an ANNOUNCEMENT!!

This card is a case for our Queen For The Day, Neva (n5stamper) McMullen!

I combined two challenges, since that's what Neva's known for.  The other challenge today was the Free 4 All, to use fan folding.

It's been a while since I used RED.  Can you believe it???????  So here's a fan folded candle for a bright and fun birthday card.

Congratulations Neva.....enjoy your reign as our new Queen.

Now.......AHEM........(trumpet blare please, and drum roll)......I am pleased to announce that I have been selected to be a member of the new Cornish Heritage Farms Design Team.  The team was announced yesterday on the CHF Blog.  Go take a look HERE for all the information.  You'll see some VERY familiar names.  Keep an eye out for more!!
