CCEE1604, Chocolate Cake

Who doesn't love chocolate cake!  Did  you know they even have a special day to celebrate this yummy treat!  Chocolate Cake Day was the 27th of January.  Your cards this week should feature cake, bonus points if it is chocolate cake.

My chocolate cake has a top layer of mocha on this gatefold card.

My DGD Erin is in culinary school, preparing to be a pastry chef.  I thought I'd include a pic of one of her creations for you to drool over:

Always Playing With Paper Challenge

this is the challenge..........to make a masculine card using this picture for inspiration.  Here's the card I made:

Now, here's the really weird part.......the image I chose is the EXACT SAME image Lesley used.  Either we were on the same wavelength, or I'm a dunce!  You can decide!!

Here's the site if you would like to play along....and please!  be smarter than I was!

CCEE1603 Opposites

Did you know that the 25th of January is National Opposite Day?  For our challenge this week, make a card/project that has opposites on it.  Think opposite colors  on the color wheel, stripes and polka dots, black and white, mirror image, etc.

I chose opposite dots..........black with white, and white with black.

CCEE1602 Hats!

Tomorrow (January 15th) is Hat Day.  The challenge is to include a hat in our card creations this week.

I love these hat images from Stampendous!  I think this will be a fab masculine birthday card, and we have two in January and one in February.

CCEE1601 Tea

Welcome back to the CCEE Challenges!  Frances is our hostess for the month of January.  She says apparently this is HOT TEA Month.  Her challenge was to make TEA themed cards.

.

Here's my card using an oatmeal bg, and cream (tea needs a little cream), and a blue bird on the lid beside the tea leaves.
