A Little Humor for Mother's Day

There is a fairly new challenge on SCS that is called Queen For The Day. This week, the chosen stamper is Carol_PA925. She has an interesting gallery, and the card I chose to CASE is this one of the butterfly card in PINK. I liked the simple layout.

So, in keeping with my card-a-day policy for Mother's Day, I made the card below, using some pretty blues, and a butterfly I got at the $ Tree. You can see the changes I made in Carol's card. No need for me to tell you what you can look at yourself.

I did take a close-up of the sentiment. It shouldn't be wasted, because it's perfect for a person my age to give to her Mom. I can't tell you the number of times my Mom "washed" something smudgy off my face with her 'wetted" handkerchief. Mom's today don't carry hankies anymore. What do they use??? Anyhow, she will get a real laugh out of this card. I hope you do too.

  1. That sentiment is hilarious and yes, I can remember my mom doing the same thing - lol! Love that basketweave embossed BG and that butterfly...will have to check out our $ Tree here. Your mom will get a chuckle for sure, Anne!

  2. Anne, I can absolutely relate to the wet hankie...except sometimes she just wet her finger and wiped away on our faces. Nowadays, the modern Mom's carry anti-bacterial wipes....might be more sanitary but not used with as much love!

  3. Anne Your cards are so very pretty that you are sending to your mom... I was just reviewing them... she is going to be so very excited about getting them all.. I think that is a great idea to send one a day... I use to send a card once a week to my mom, but her space isn't that big, and she won't send them back to me... so I send her printed sheets of all the cards I make and the nurses put it up on the large screen TV for her and the other ladies to see.. Moms are so much love... GREAT CARDS Anne, with much love attached... I can feel it

With today's mom's it's baby wipes or the anti-bacterial wipes-all about germs you know
